Verizon Communications Inc. (NYSE, NASDAQ:VZ) today announced that its subsidiary, Cellco Partnership (doing business as Verizon Wireless), has filed a Form 15 with the Securities and Exchange Commission to suspend its SEC reporting obligations.  As a result, Cellco Partnership will no longer file annual audited financial information or quarterly unaudited financial information with the SEC.

This process continues Verizon's efforts to reduce costs, increase efficiencies and streamline its financial reporting.  Verizon suspended SEC reporting for all of its domestic telephone company subsidiaries by 2004.

Financial information about Cellco Partnership will continue to be included in Verizon’s financial statements.  Verizon also currently intends to make available annual audited financial statements for Cellco Partnership on Verizon's investor relations website, www.verizon.com/investor, and Cellco Partnership will continue to file these financial statements with the Irish Stock Exchange during the time that certain series of Cellco debt securities remain registered on that exchange.
