DEPTFORD, NJ - - Bell Atlantic Mobile recently celebrated its
one-year anniversary at the Deptford Mall Communications Store by
giving back to the community.
The donation of two cellular phones with pre-activated 9-1-1
numbers was accepted by Deptford Mayor William Bain on behalf of the
Victim Witness Advocacy Program in the Gloucester County Prosecutor's
Office. "These phones will be given to victims in crisis who may
still be in a threatening situation, offering them an added sense of
security and peace of mind," said Debra Romano, confidential aide to
the Prosecutor.
The donation is part of Bell Atlantic Mobile's "Wireless at Work" .
. . community program that offers support to non-profit groups. "We're
committed to being a good neighbor and are happy to help Gloucester
County residents any way we can," said Robert Scalia, assistant
communications store manager. Mayor Bain acknowledged Bell Atlantic
Mobile for setting a good example by giving back to groups in need.

the East Coast and the second largest in the United States.
