🚨 Wildfires and freezing temperatures.
Current conditions: Southern California continues to battle multiple wildfires, sparked by severe winds and leading to mass evacuations. In contrast, large areas of the Southeast and Midatlantic are experiencing snow and freezing rain, conditions we continue to monitor as well.
Caring for customers: In addition to relief offers currently in place for Los Angeles, Orange, Riverside, San Bernardino, San Diego and Ventura counties, the Verizon Foundation is donating $1 million, to be split between the American Red Cross and the Los Angeles Firefighter Foundation.
Employee resources: Natural disasters can lead to multiple challenges for employees impacted:
- If you needed to evacuate your home, you can apply for a VtoV Employee relief grant.
- If you are experiencing distress due to these or any of life’s challenges, Spring Health has resources and therapists to help.
- Stay up to date on what’s happening in areas affected by disaster through the Verizon Emergency Resource Center, on Inside Verizon, and on Slack, especially the Verizonwide #welcome channel, and your closest Hub channel.
