DDS Local Access
I. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
DDS Local Access is a digital local access arrangement offering bandwidth up to 64 kbps that can be used to connect Customer's Premises to the MCI Legacy Company s Point-of-Presence (POP) to provide Customer access to MCI Legacy Company services. Beginning December 1, 2003, DDS Local Access is not available to new Customers of the service.
II. DEFINITIONS: The Online Definitions apply.
III. FEATURES AND OPTIONS:
1. Route Diversity: Charges will be calculated on an individual case basis, in accordance with the charges set forth in the relevant Local Exchange Carrier 's tariff, and passed on to the Customer.
2. Clear Channel 64 kbps DDS: Clear Channel 64 kbps DDS is available only with T-1 Digital Access that is equipped with B8ZS line coding from the Local Exchange Carrier.
3. Access Pricing Plans (APP) are available.
4. Access Term Discount Discounts are available.
5. Combined Service and Access Plans (CSAP) are available.
IV. RATES AND CHARGES:
1. Local Access Channel Monthly Recurring Channel Charges :
1.1 The monthly recurring local loop charges are 100 percent of the rate found in the relevant Local Exchange Carrier tariffs for: (i) circuits installed after May 1, 2002; and, (ii) circuits which were installed on or after October 1, 1998 and prior to May 1, 2002 for which local loops furnished in whole by MCI Legacy Company facilities are substituted for local loops not furnished in whole via MCI Legacy Company facilities.
1.2 Except as set forth in this Section, the monthly recurring local loop charges for circuits installed on or after October 1, 1998 and prior to May 1, 2002 are found in the relevant Local Exchange Carrier tariffs multiplied by the applicable factor in the table below based upon the identity of the provider of the local access facilities:

1.3 Monthly recurring local loop charges for circuits installed prior to October 1, 1998 .
2. Local Access Channel Non-Recurring Charges: A $200 non-recurring channel charge applies.
3. Access Coordination: The following charges will apply, per local access channel, only for circuits installed prior to October 1, 1998 and only if either: (1) the Company orders the local access channel; or (2) in the case of Customer-provided access, if the Customer has not provided written notice to the Company that the Customer accepts responsibility for the design, installation coordination and ongoing coordination of testing and trouble resolution for the local access channel.

4. Central Office Connection: The following monthly recurring and non-recurring charges will apply, per connection, only for circuits installed prior to October 1, 1998, whether access is Company‑provided or Customer‑provided.
