Cellular Settings - Laptop Experience
Prerequisite(s):
BYOD and Verizon-sold Windows Laptops. Single device activation.
eSIM profile reserved with Verizon Sales-Assisted or via a Self-Service order via the Verizon My Business Portal.
Connect to WiFi (some exceptions apply)
Order Management:
Paso 1
If you’re new to Verizon, you can sign-up for Verizon service by calling the Verizon business sales team at 1-844-514-0429.
If you already have Verizon service using your device's physical SIM card, you can port this number over or add a new service plan and new number to your eSIM through the My Business portal. Alternatively, you can contact us at 1-800-922-0204 to add service to eSIM.
Log-In to My Business
Paso 2
If placing an order on My Business portal. Go to Network Settings->Cellular Settings and copy IMEI.
Select <Shop>
Select <Devices>
Select <Bring your own device (BYOD). (Purchase Service Only)
Paso 3
Enter IMEI or Device ID and follow screen
You can enter the device IMEI in Device ID* (e.g., IMEI) field to initiate eSIM order. If the device supports pSIM then pSIM selection options are also available for the end user to select.
Device Activation Process Steps:
Paso 1
Connect to a Wi-Fi network with internet access that does not restrict to the internet sites necessary for activation (such as your home Wi-Fi or a mobile hotspot).
Paso 4
A popup will be displayed to choose between two different flows of eSIM activation.
A) Search for available profiles
B) Let me enter an activation code I have from my mobile operator
4A: “Search for available profiles” option works if the laptop is “Discovery Server” (DS) enabled.
4A Step 1
If the eSIM profile is ready on the server and the Laptop has Discover Server enabled, search would retrieve the eSIM profile to download and install.
4A Step 2
Select [Yes] to progress with eSIM download. The eSIM profile will automatically download and install.
4B: “Let me enter an activation code I have from my mobile operator” - choose this option if the laptop is either “Discovery Server” (DS) enabled or disabled and have QR code ready for scan.
4B Step 1
Select “Let me enter an activation code I have from my mobile operator” and then click Next.
4B Step 2
Hold the QR code below in front of your laptop’s camera to scan it.

4B Step 3
Once the “Download this Profile” and activation code is displayed in the “Activation code” box, click Yes to progress with eSIM download.
Continue from Step 5
Step 6
When the eSIM profile download is complete, you should see a “New profile is ready” message. Click on Close to finish.
Step 7
Under the “Profiles for cellular data” section of the eSIM profiles menu, select the Verizon profile and click Use.
