Cybersecurity: Blue Team Operator Lesson 2 Unplugged

During this lesson, students will learn more about Blue Team operations and how they support defense of computer networks through simulations and defensive tools. Students will revisit the concept of incident response through the perspective of Blue Team Operators and have the opportunity to play a real world Cybersecurity card game produced by Black Hills Information Security group that features real world incidents, tools, compromises and more. The game can be played as a table top simulation style game with detailed instructions online - or students may choose to play a modified, basic version of the game with a worksheet as guidance.

  • Explore how Blue Team supports defense of computer networks
  • Examine the process of incident response from a Blue Team

Prerequisites


    Supplies Required

    • Backdoors + Breaches Game Cards (online or ask your teacher for a deck)
    • Backdoors +Breaches Worksheet (printable option or create your own with pencil/paper)
