Do not buy this if you have floor rugs that you care about. I used it for a week and my rug got chewed up by the brushes. There is no "keep out" zones available with this model and the barrier add ons that iRobot sells cannot be placed in the middle of the floor where people walk. The company will not take the product back, so I am stuck with this useless $400 vacuum.

I have wanted one for years, and finally broke down and got the one that empties itself. I set the schedule on my app. I have it run Monday and Friday every week. It tells me when it's done, and shows me the map of what it did. I absolutely LOVE this! It vacuums while I'm at work, and I come home to a nicely vacuumed floor!! I haven't had any trouble with it getting lost or running out of battery before finishing. would highly recommend to the busy people who don't have time to vacuum!!

I've had iRobots for years. When my downstairs one rolled over my dogs "mess", I had to ditch it. So I put my upstairs robot downstairs and got a new i3 with automatically dispenser. The first one I bought had a glitch. IRobot was fantastic to work with me and sent me a new one. This one has been GREAT! It doesn't mark up the baseboards, takes care to navigate around any obstacles and cleans so well. I love the self empty feature!! This is definitely a must buy.

I have owned this product for about 2 years and every time I use it I think how big of money and time suck this is. I owned the original Roomba and that was far superior to this product. The bin constantly needs attention. It rarely cleans a room completely. Currently it won't connect to my wi-fi. I am resorting to broom and dustpan. That is how inefficient this product is.

Beyond Frustrated with this company. Purchased my robot Last November within a few uses started having error codes back to back then the robot just did circles contact customer support finally they said they would send a replacement within a week thst was May this is June they tell me they are on back order . However the website says they are in stock so why ? In addition the order number they provided is not valid . I asked for proof of order they ignore that question. I too feel I'm being ripped off . It's been way to long and they don't reply to my emails anymore . . What a bad way to do business .

Things started out fine with this vacuum. Over time however the unit would not empty itself and the empty bin button is no longer on the app. Over the past two months the robot refuses to find the home base. It will be within feet of the base and I find it dead in another room of the house. It will spend so much time trying to find the base that it runs out of battery and cannot do a complete cleaning of my home. As I said I really wanted to like this product. It seemed to do an acceptable job of cleaning and it was fairly quiet but I cannot recommend this to anyone. I have since replaced this with another brand and am blown away by how much better it is. Finally the app is useless except for promotional emails. Choose your next robot vacuum carefully.

When my i7 runs, it's magical. I've had constant errors and have to reboot regularly, which I can deal with. However, about a month ago my self emptying bin errored out. I've contacted customer support twice where the rep says the bin sensors have gone bad and they'll send a new bin since I'm within my 12 mos warranty. I have yet to receive such bin, nor have I received a tracking email which they swear they have sent. One rep gave me a fictional UPS tracking number. Never in my life have I been so frustrated with customer service.

I have had this vacuum for less than 2 years and have had nothing but problems with it. The self extraction stopped working and then would work on and off for several months and now I am getting en error message that the filter is clogged even though I've replaced it as well as the rollers. The customer support has been nothing but helpful, but definitely did not expect to be having to replace moat of the Robot at this early in the game. Hope your newer models are better.

Had mine for a couple of years now. Not as pleased as I would have hoped. It does seem to effectively clean the areas covered. However, the "intelligence" of the unit is GREATLY overstated. It constantly gets stuck on the rails of my patio slider doors and can't seem to figure out that maybe it should avoid these. Supports suggestion was to PURCHASE the area avoidance sensors. It sends me a message (on my iPhone) that it's stuck but I get NO audible notification, so unless I am actually looking at my phone I don't know it's stuck. All notifications for the app are enabled on my iPhone. Support said this was a problem with my iPhone yet I get notifications from all other apps. It's mapping is not reliable as I can sit and watch it go over the exact same spot 5 or 6 times. i.e. it will do the spot in front of our couch, then move to the kitchen, then come right back to the couch and go over the same spot again. We have it set to clean approximately 1500 Sqft and it takes 4-5 hours to complete. Much noisier than I expected. Lately it is providing an error that claims "The Robot Base Needs Your Attention" but does NOT identify specifically what is the problem (seems to evacuate OK, bag is NOT full). Submitted issue to support and they sent out a new base, but it does the same thing. Have followed cleaning instructions for sensors in the base and the robot but nothing seems to address this issue. While it IS nice to NOT have to manually vacuum, the fact that it takes 5 hours is a disappointment. I can pull out the manual vac and do the job in about 30 minutes. It says it's MAPPING but does not really seem to know where it is at. It just seems to roam randomly around the house until it bumps into things. I expected more.

I purchased the i3+ in April. It came damaged and a replacement had to sent out. It seemed to work fine but about a month later it no longer emptied itself. On the app the "empty bin" button disappeared. I spend so much time with iRobot support - rebooting it, moving it far away from the clean base, unplugging the clean base. Nothing worked. I was told a replacement would be sent out and that I'd receive an email later that day with the details. I never received the email so I only can assume I am not receiving a replacement. So disappointed in the quality of this product. A robo vac is meant to be a convenience not a hassle. It's only been a few months so I'll just send it back.
