I bought it because my 7 year old daughter got off at the wrong bus stop in a new neighborhood and was lost for an hour. This device doesn’t work if there are no other iPhone devices around so it completely doesn’t work the way I needed it to. It updates only once a day to show me her location and then stops updating when she leaves school. Worst purchase

I like the product. I have other uses for the tag then what I’m testing it for now. I like the price that Verizon offers for the tag. I don’t know why I didn’t use them in the beginning but they are a must now for me!

AirTags can be detected up to approximately 30-100 feet (9-30 meters) using Bluetooth directly from your iPhone or other Apple devices. However, they can be tracked much further thanks to Apple's Find My Network, which leverages the Bluetooth signals of other Apple devices within a 30-100 foot range to relay location information to you. This allows for tracking potentially anywhere in the world where there are other Apple devices connected to the internet ~Balter
