The distortion issue might be caused by the sonic quality of your source, depending on what you are listening to, EQ Settings, Source Device, and the woofer not functioning properly. If the issue occurs as the volume is increased, but before reaching 90%, the louder volume coupled with frequencies that have been boosted can cause this issue. If you are using an EQ (Equalizer) in the app or source device, please try turning it off. If the sound no longer distorts with the EQ off, the speaker is not damaged and the EQ settings need to be adjusted to prevent distortion and eventual damage. But, if the issue continues, try to connect a different device to the speaker to determine if the problem is with the device or speaker. You may also reset the speaker by turning on the speaker, pressing and holding the "Volume +" and "Play" for more than 10 seconds until the speaker turns off. You may need to 'forget' the speaker in Bluetooth settings on your phone/tablet in order to pair it again. Hello! May I ask that Will the speaker get damaged if I continue to play it at 100% volume? Because I usually use it while I am practicing the drum, so I need my JBL Charge 5 plays at 100% volume with EQ settings to mid and high maximum. Gracias.

authentic vs counterfeit charge 5 and is theer difference between GG, TL, CS versions?

Products from different suppliers are just having different execution in the design but the quality should be identical. Love the speaker and app. I have worn out my charge 3 and now happily own a 5. My only complaint is why does the app not allow you to turn the speaker on remotely?
We hear you. To control our JBL Charge 5 it must be connected first to the device and the JBL Portable App. It can be turned off by the app but you'll have to turn it on manually. As of right now, that is not a feature but we appreciate your feedback and will forward this along to the appropriate teams. If you need more help with the unit, please contact our customer support.

Thanks for your question. Yes, bluetooth will go through but it can still alter the signal strength of a Bluetooth connection that might cause interference.

Can I pair a party box110 with a charge 5?
