I had a Square Card reader and unfortunately it has been misplaced. I am ordering a new one but wanted to ask is there any other way to accept payment from my clients at this time? Am I able to manually put in customers credit/debit card information?
Yes, you are able to manually process credit card payments from the Square Card app. Go to the Square App, enter the amount, click charge, and click manual entry to enter the credit card information. - Tamara

Does this device need internet connection or will it work with only cell phone coverage I.e, Verizon?
The Square app requires an internet connection at all times to function properly. This can be either a WiFi connection or a data service on your mobile device (such as 3G, 4G or EDGE).

do you need an adapter for the jack if you have an iphone xs max?
Hi, Christina! You will need an adapter if you purchase the Magstripe with Headphone Jack for your iPhone. However; you could consider getting either the Magstripe with Lightning Connector that is designed for iPhones, or the Contactless and Chip Reader which will pair over Bluetooth to your phone as well.

is this compatible with S8 phone
Hi, Jean! Just updating the question here for anyone who comes across it. The Square Magstripe Reader is now compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S8. You can always check your hardware compatibility here: squareup.com/compatibility
At this time, the Square Credit Card Reader is not compatible with the Samsung Galaxy S8. You can click "Check compatibility" to find the devices you can use with the Square Credit Card Reader. - Tamara

Will this work with a 7 plus also because I see the jack is round?
That is a great question. This would depend on the current card reader you have. If the Square Credit Card reader has a jack you can use it with your phone. I hope this helps. - Jasper

Does it go through PayPal or is this different?
Square is a different payment processor than Paypal. The two are not compatible.
