I just purchased Verizon smart hub been plugged in for 3 hours. Battery not charging? Shuts off if Power supply is unplugged.
Hi Mats, Sorry to hear this. Just want to confirm that you have inserted the battery since it does not come pre-installed? If the battery is inserted and it is not charging after three hours it will need to be replaced. Please call our customer support at 1 (800) 922-0204 or visit a store so they can start the process.

Can my smart hub battery allow me to connect to the internet while I'm on the road traveling without an electric outlet? Or is the battery only good for voice calls (which I don't even use it for anyway)?

How long does this last under normal use and voice only use?
Understanding how long your SmartHub device would last with this battery is a must, RVH319. This is the same size battery as comes standard with the device. The manufacturer shows that the usage time would be 4 hours, and the stand-by time would be 1.8 days. We wouldn’t have an accurate estimate for voice only usage, but it would likely be closer to the usage time. I hope this information is helpful. - Joseph B
