[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have been a Samsung Galaxy owner for years and my phone has always been outstanding. I bought the new Galaxy Z flip 7 in Oct. 2025 and by April 2026 (6 months) the inside screen started glitching and went blank. Of course I didn't have insurance, I've never needed it! I never dropped or dropped in water to cause this issue. I'm 61 years old and never carry my phone around constantly. This phone was on mint condition. I called customer service and was advised to take it to a certified repair facility. When I I arrived at the store the girl there looked at it about 2 seconds and said that it wouldn't be covered under warranty. Needless to say I was so disappointed to learn that I have to pay for a phone that I couldn't use that was brand new. I'm still not able to use my brand new phone because I can't afford $400 to repair. Honestly I absolutely loved this phone but will never buy a Samsung again. It would be nice to have some sort of credit towards repair. Thank you for your time. Donna

I've had the FlipZ 2-7, each phone SIGNIFICANTLY improved over the previous one even if the promotional price kept getting worse and worse. When I got the 7 from preordering it, the phone was fantastic. Literally best battery and durability hands down. The fold display, even though i care nothing at all about the fold, was even better. Almost a year later and multiple to updates the phone now in July 2026 has slowed down in response time and has had horrid connection problems be it WiFi or mobile data. I don't know what AI slop was forced into the updates but searching in My Files is slow and unresponsive, the rear display removed Samsung Music accessibility when closed and playing, when I'm trying to browse the web a single tab will take about 2 minutes at least in white before the phone realizes it has connection and everything loads immediately after that. This phone has become the worst one to date because of updates so far. Not preordering the Flip 8 because I know the "trade in deal" will be garbage like last years.

Have had to shut it off, switch sim to another phone and let it set and charge, then switch sim back into the phone the next day. Then it will work fine. The AI is interesting and useful, can be fun. Would have issues with recommending it to anyone.

Here’s what stood out to me. How It Changes My Day The biggest surprise isn’t the folding screen itself; it’s the FlexWindow. I find myself actually getting through my morning emails and checking my schedule on that outer cover screen without ever unfolding the phone. It’s a small, quiet way to keep my focus without getting sucked into a "full" screen experience. When I’m at my desk, the Flex Mode is a game-changer. I’ve started using it as a stand for video calls, and having it propped up while I work on my laptop makes multi-tasking feel much more fluid. The addition of Samsung DeX is a huge win for me—being able to plug into a monitor and treat the phone like a mini-PC is something I didn't think I'd use, but it’s come in handy more than once. The Entertainment Factor Streaming & Movies: The display is honestly beautiful. It’s bright enough that I haven't had issues with glare, and the colors really pop. It’s my go-to for watching content on the go. Gaming: It’s great for casual games, but if I’m running something graphically heavy, I’ve noticed the phone can get a little warm. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I get the new Flip every year. And every year it gets better. Now with the new Galaxy AI, this is the besr Flip yet. The good: compact design (about the size of my wallet) more durable than earlier models, good screen. The bad: unfortunately I've had two screens fail on me this year, and Samsung's support is a nightmare. Phone trees that go nowhere, agents that disconnect or transfer you to the wrong department, non-existent mobile service. It all seems designed to frustrate you into paying for the service or getting a new phone. Ultimately I got the new screens, but it took days, and that is very frustrating. The phone could use a better, camera, more speed, and a faster processor, but the novelty of the "Flip",cannot be denied. I game on it, make calls and text, use more than 100 apps, including banking, insurance, and MS Office and Google tools. I take photos and videos, and definitely use the Android Auto features and navigation the most.
