International Services (from inside the US) Terms & Conditions

Setting up your account with international services

When you sign up for Verizon Wireless your account is automatically enabled to make calls and send messages to more than 200 countries. You can also call any destination on the North American Numbering Plan (i.e., countries with an international calling prefix of +1). If you are unable to make international calls you may need to add International Services Enabled to your account. This can be done within the My Verizon self-service portal in the Manage Plan section.

Tarifas de llamadas internacionales desde los Estados Unidos

Please go to our https://www.verizon.com/plans/international/international-calling/ page for pricing, and other plan information related to calling international destinations from the United States. Calls to Mexico and Canada are included in certain domestic plans - check your plan for more information. If your plan does not include an unlimited calling allowance, international minutes will be decremented from your plan allowance, in addition to the applicable international rate. Rates and included countries for international calling are subject to change.

Calling international destinations while you are traveling outside the United States

When traveling to destinations outside the United States you can make calls to the United States and within the country you are visiting. If you need to call a country that is neither the United States nor the country you are visiting, you need to ensure your account is enabled to do this. If you have been a customer for more than 34 days and your account is in good standing, the capability to call these countries can be added within the My Verizon self-service portal in the Manage Plan section. Alternatively, you can contact Verizon Customer Service to perform an account review to have these countries added.

When using TravelPass, calls within the country you are visiting and to the United States are included. The cost of calls to other international destinations is determined by your domestic international calling plan. When traveling outside the United States, and not using TravelPass, the cost of international calls is determined by the roaming provisions in your plan.

International calling service restrictions

International calling is enabled for direct communications between 2 people; certain numbers (e.g., conference, chat lines, and premium numbers) are not supported and may be blocked. Verizon reserves the right to block calls to any country or international number range without notice.

A small number of countries are restricted for international calling. These countries are: Angola, Ascension Island, Azerbaijan, Democratic Republic of Congo, Republic of Congo, Djibouti, East Timor, Estonia, Gambia, Guinea, Latvia, Liberia, Lithuania, Maldives, Mayotte, Senegal, Sierra Leone, and St. Helena. If you have been a customer for more than 34 days and your account is in good standing, the capability to call these countries can be added within the My Verizon self-service portal in the Manage Plan section. Alternatively, you can contact Verizon Customer Service to perform an account review to add these countries.
