College student discount with Fios Home Internet FAQs

As a college student, you can save 10% each month on qualifying Fios Home Internet plans. Limit of 1 discount per account. Student discount ends if eligibility requirements are no longer met. Can’t be combined with most offers.

You qualify for this monthly discount if you meet all of these requirements:

• You are actively enrolled in an accredited, degree-granting US college or university (including online programs).
• You have a new or existing qualifying Fios Home Internet plan.
• You have not redeemed a non-qualifying promotion within the last 12 months.
• Validate your status as a current college student with ID.me, as part of the discount registration.

Yes. Parents or spouses can apply for the discount on behalf of the student. They must supply the student’s information (identity and student status). Only one student discount is available per each qualifying student ID.

You can apply for the student discount when you have a qualifying Fios Home Internet plan:

1. Go to our Student Discount page and select Get Started for Fios Internet plans.
   
2. Click Get started at the top of the page, or select an internet plan and check Fios availability by clicking the Check availability button:
   • New Fios customers: Click Check availability and enter your street address to verify that Fios service is available at your location. Existing Verizon Mobile customers can check for additional discounts by entering their mobile number.
   • Existing Fios customers: Sign in to your existing Fios account.
3. After signing in or verifying Fios service is available, click the Check for discount button to start the qualification process with ID.me.

Have one of the following documents ready:

• Student IDCard (with a valid, unexpired date).
• Transcript showing current enrollment.
• Enrollment Verification Letter from the Office of the Registrar (not an acceptance letter).

Valid documents must show your full name, college/university name and your date of attendance. Transcripts and verification letters must show your enrollment dates and your status (e.g., full-time, part-time, etc.)

1. Once verified, you’ll be ready to complete your order.
2. Open your cart, at the top right of the screen, to confirm the discount has been added.
3. Click Checkout to place your order.

If you don’t have existing qualifying Fios Home Internet service, check for Fios service availability first.

To verify eligibility for the college student discount, you need to validate your student status with ID.me, our verification partner.

You will receive an email that confirms your enrollment in the student discount, after you place your Fios order or after you update your Fios account.

After you enroll, your student discount is available each year you’re actively enrolled in a qualifying school. You’ll need to re-verify your student status each year through our verification partner, ID.me.

You’ll receive a notice on your bill 30 days prior to your discount expiration, letting you know how to re-verify your student status to continue your discount. You’ll also receive an email 15 days prior to your discount expiration reminding you to re-verify.

If you fail to re-verify your student status, your discount will expire 12 months after your last verification. If your discount expires, you can re-enroll through our Student Discounts page.
