Who is Nova Credit?
Nova Credit is a US-based company that lets credit providers access global credit data in certain countries. If you have insufficient US credit history, Verizon's partnership with Nova Credit makes your international credit history accessible to use for financing in the US.

I'm moving to the US in the coming months. Can I apply for this financing now?
You can get approved ahead of time and pick up your device at a Verizon store. However, devices must be picked up within 3 days of the date you placed the order online:

Does using my international credit history impact my international or US credit score?
Your international credit check is separate from your US credit:
- Your application through Nova Credit won't affect any US credit history you may have.
- For some international credit bureaus, an inquiry from a credit issuer may be noted on your credit report and can affect your credit score.

Does using this service import my credit history into the US so any financial provider can view my credit report?
No. Using this option doesn't permanently transfer your international credit history to the US. If you have insufficient US credit history, Verizon accesses your international credit history only for your device purchase application.

What Verizon mobile plans and discounts am I eligible for if I get a device with device payments?
You can choose a mobile calling plan during the device purchase process. If you choose a current Unlimited plan, you may be eligible for certain discounts and promotions.

Can I apply for Verizon credit without a US Social Security Number?
Yes. You can apply to buy a new smartphone at 0% interest without a US social security number or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number. If you had a secured credit card or credit history in your home country, we can use that credit history through our partnership with Nova Credit.

When applying for 0% interest device payments with Verizon, choose the most recent country in which you had a secured credit card or loan.
How to apply with your international credit

How do I apply to get 0% financing for device payments using my international credit?
To apply for 0% financing using your international credit, just shop for and choose a new device through the Verizon international credit page.
Important: You must shop from the international credit page to access the international credit option.
Here's the purchase and credit application process:- Click or tap Buy when you find your new device.
- During checkout, you have the option to add accessories, choose a mobile phone plan and add device protection.
- You add an international calling plan later, after your account is set up.
- Choose Begin secure checkout.
- The device payment monthly price and the total retail price is shown.
- Choose Continue with international credit via Nova Credit.
- Choose your international country.
- Complete the fields required to match and retrieve your translated international credit score.
- Create a Nova account PIN. (Keep the PIN so you can return and view your application if needed.)
- View your credit decision and credit limit:
- If the device you chose is more than your limit, the extra balance is due at checkout.
- If your credit isn't approved, consider other options for mobile service with Verizon.

I don't remember my last address in the country where I have a credit history. Can I still use my credit history?
To find your credit history and verify your identity, you may need to enter your most recent address in the country where you have credit history. If you aren't sure what that address is, look at old bills, check Google Maps or call a family member to help.

Why wasn't Nova able to find my international credit report or verify my identity?
Nova might not be able to access your international credit report for many reasons, including:
- No credit report in your home country.
- Insufficient credit history to produce a full credit report.
- Personal information not entered correctly (e.g., name, date of birth, foreign address, foreign ID number).
- Verification questions not answered correctly.

What can I do if I don't have international credit, or I wasn't offered enough credit to finance a device?
If you weren't offered credit or not enough credit for the device of your choice you can:
- Pay full retail price to buy a new device or a certified pre owned device
- Consider a Prepaid phone plan
You can also consider bringing your own device (BYOD) to Verizon. However, many Android and iOS devices brought in from other countries don't work on US networks.
