You can have the Gizmo as the only device on your Verizon account and install the GizmoHub app on your smartphone, regardless of the carrier. Parents use GizmoHub to manage, locate and communicate with their child's Gizmo watch.

Gizmo watches introduce kids to wirelessly technology safely. Part of that benefit is not allowing the watch to access the internet or download apps. The GizmoHub app is needed to allow trusted contacts to exchange text messages with the watch. GizmoHub app allows typing text messages to send to the watch. The GizmoWatch itself has prewritten texts to select and send. The prewritten texts can be edited using the GizmoHub app by the primary caregiver and the edited texts will be updated in the list of prewritten texts in the watch. As an alternative to a text message, the watch user can also make a voice recording and send the recording as a message. -Joseph

HI Chris. No, the games on Gizmo Watch 3 - Adventure cannot be disabled. However, the games it does have such as Tic Tac Toe are unlikely to be a big distraction due to their simplicity. The math game in particular is helpful in reinforcing math skills.

The parent/guardian can invite someone to be a calling contact. Calling contacts do not need the GizmoHub app. Texting does require the app, and to be able to text, the contact needs to be designated as either an additional guardian or a caregiver. The exception is someone designated as Gizmo buddy (Gizmo watch calling or texting another Gizmo watch) Gizmo watches don't need the GizmoHub app. GizmoHub is for guardians and caregivers on their smartphones to be able to manage, locate and communicate with the Gizmo watch.

Gizmo watches do not have medical alert. They do however have an SOS button to assist the child with dialing their designated emergency contact, even if School Mode is turned on. Also, the SOS button can access the child's medical information, if this information has been provided by the parent in the GizmoHub app.

Yes. Gizmo has an alarm clock and also has a To-do list that you can create and schedule in the GizmoHub app on your phone. The to-do list will then sync over the network with your kid's Gizmo.
