Yes, I'd recommend this product.

When I purchased a new phone, the company did not offer Otter Boxes. Not only did the phone case I selected not hold up but the screen cracked and had to be replaced. I ended up having to have the phone repaired and I replaced the phone case with an Otter like I had for my previous phone.

When I was still working, the national communications company I was employed by issued Otterbox Defender cases to all employees. A friend of mine accidently dropped his iPhone from the top of a telephone pole and it survived with no damage. Now that I am retired I will only use this case for my personal smartphone.

Can you use a tempered glass screen protector with this case

Always had the Otter box Defender. But always interferes reading finger to unlock for the 5s. Planning to get Apple 7Plus, does anyone have issues reading with finger unlock? Using the Defender case.

I have always had a trouble with finger print/touch unlock. MarineMom2011 you can usually get better results by adding additional touches.

That is a great case to keep your phone safe, Doug1975. I can certainly help you today. The case already comes with a built in screen protector, so it really is not necessary for the tempered glass. You can certainly purchase that separately if you want the added protection though. It will work to answer your question. - Anthony C
