Features are great. Love the flip phone. However, in two years I am on my 5th Razr phone. The 1st one didn't last a year before the glue failed and the back started coming off. The following 3 phones all had major glitches. Now this 5th phone, the back has started coming off it too. Everyone says it is someone else's problem. This last phone-Motorola is arguing that it is damage not a defect and wants me to pay over $1000 for repair! Requested to speak to a supervisor. Had to supply proof of purchase/date. After much arguing on my part they agreed to send me a replacement - no charge, Except for the frustration. Like I said, love the flip phone and the features are great, when they work. Oh, and the phone is prone to overheating. Guess I stuck with it because it is the first smartphone I have had. Last phone was a tracfone flip phone-the ancient model. With all the problems I have had with the Razr, I cannot with a good conscious recommend it.

I have a 2020 Moto g stylus and it's starting to have issues. I am reviewing options for my next phone. There's no way I'm paying the current pricetag for the new Moto Razr to go through these bad experiences. Thank you all for your reviews

Battery won't go back to 100%

I was very excited to get this phone. I had it for over a year and then all of a sudden my battery stopped going back to 100%. It would go to 95 and then lower to 94/93%. I was able to get another phone and within weeks it was again going to 94% and dropping. I called customer service and they said it's a known issue with this phone so now every time I want to get my phone back to 100% I have to drain the battery to below 15%, every single day! They told me it's a known issue well if it's a known issue then fix it I shouldn't have to drain my phone every single day and stay up for hours and hours and hours trying to drain this phone to below 14%. Or if I do 50%, I would have to reboot the phone to get it back to 100%. Now they're so dot in the middle of the screen that I can't get rid of I wish I had not gotten rid of my Samsung! So here I am on my second phone and now I got a dot in the middle of my screen and the battery still has to be below 15% for it to go back to 100%!

I'm not tethered to my phone so this device is perfect for email, surfing the web, making phone calls. The camera has great quality but not compared to the iPhone. It's a learning curve to use Android but well worth learning a new system. I hope to get the next upgraded version of this model. In the upgraded version I would like to have the mute button not so close to where one listens to the phone call it can be easily hit to disrupt the call. Other than that it fits in the palm of your hand and folds what more could one ask?

I purchased my razr over a year ago. I owned the "original" razor flip phone back in the day and have wanted a flip phone since. I like the size the uniqueness of my phone. I also enjoy the features i.e 3finger screenshots, wrist twist camera or flashlight etc. I have dropped my phone several times(not recommended) ;-). And on one of my drops the external view went black. Everything else still works. My only "negatives are I wish the battery life lasted. Mine will go only about 6-18 hours depending on usage. And the cameras needs to be upgraded, which I've read that both these issues have been address in the newer generation. I'm happy with my phone and am glad I didn't allow all the discouraging reviews stop me from my purchase. I would recommend this phone…depending….

Disappointed

I brought this flip phone in 2020, now on my second phone which is not new. It was great at first, but then I noticed things started happening. I went through the protocol with customer service and really didn't help. The approach to wake has died which is disappointing. The response of the phone is slow. I paid a lot of money for this flip phone and with a high bill plus what's left to still pay on this phone, once I'm done paying for this phone, I'm going with a new carrier and go back to Apple. Disappointed

2nd moto razr; horrible

So i had gotten this phone, and after a few months, the phone and camera was glitching and was able to get a replacement. Now, in November, the phone dropped and the outside screen cracked, which i can live with. But around last month, that outer camera and phone glitch started to happen again. And this time, Verizon nor Asurion have helped with this issue. It's honestly disheartening and I'm now stuck with a phone that only the selfie cam works which i can care less about.

This phone was amazing when I first got it. I love the size and functionality it's size is extremely appealing. However it has just gone downhill from there . I ordered an otter box for protection after sitti down and cracking the external screen. And hence voiding the warranty. Shortly after this the main screen went completely black and since it was no longer under warranty I had to use assurion and pay $300 dollars for the phone I had just spent $1500 on. Since then I have had issues again with the phone not opening/starting properly. I would open it and the screen would cycle between my lock screen and then turn itself on and off over and over again so the phone was not useable. I am now on my third phone in less than a year and have had to factory reset it (and loosing photos/data etc....) The phone is certainly loosing it's appeal I have been absolutely happy with my past Motorola phones so much Soni kept one as a spare and my daughter is using it now after 5 years because she broke her Samsung phone. It's been a disappointment to have spent so much on what I thought would be a quality phone and had this much disappointment with it. Although I may stich with Motorola phones I can't wait to be able to get rid of this one. Update now the phone during calls is just muting itself and my cart can not hear me at all and it's doing it daily now. Extremely frustrated

No 5G. No wireless charging. Two-handed operation

It's 2022, I would have thought that when I bought an expensive phone it would have 5G and wireless charging. No, this does not. To top it off, Verizon doesn't offer it, but Motorola does make a 5G in the 2020 version. *The flip can not be opened with one hand.* The external screen really is useless other than to see the time. It does have limited app functionality, and a phone keypad appears from time to time, though I can't figure out how to manually bring it up, and can't remove the permission, My first day, it dialed 9-1-1 when I put the phone in my belt case, there is an "Emergency" button on the lower left of the screen's keyboard that must have been triggered. The Verizon transfer program did not transfer most of my apps properly, it just imported a list and said that I needed to get them from the app store (and a number of my apps are no longer available). Honestly, I wish I had spent a few bucks more and bought the "other" Android flip. I am familiar with the "other" Android ecosystem (been using their phones for 10 years), and the "other" "switch" transfer program properly migrates 90% of the contents, AND the "other" Android Flip phone has 5G and Wireless charging.
