Simplicity Plus and Simplicity Pro add-on Terms & Conditions

    Overview

You'll pay $35/mo until you upgrade to an eligible device or unenroll.

The Simplicity Program, which consists of Simplicity Plus and Simplicity Pro, are optional monthly programs that help you manage your smartphone. The terms below explain how these work, what’s required to enroll, and what happens if you upgrade or cancel.

The Simplicity Program is referred to herein as a "Subscription Plan."

In the context of these terms, "you" and "customer" are used synonymously to describe any person currently participating in or enrolling in a Subscription Plan.

    Monthly Cost

Simplicity Plus costs $35/month and is available with eligible smartphones priced between $350 and $830. Simplicity Pro costs $50/month and is available with eligible smartphones priced between $830.01 and $1,200. BYOD customers are eligible only for Simplicity Plus. The term "Phone" refers to any smartphone that is either enrolled in or qualifies for a Subscription Plan.

Certified pre-owned devices are not eligible for a Subscription Plan. Subscription Plans may not be available in all areas and availability may vary by retail channel.

    Eligibility

To sign up for the Simplicity Program, you must:

    • Have a Verizon account in good standing, as determined by us.
    • Be on the Verizon Simplicity Plan.
    • Purchase your Phone through a 36-month device payment agreement or buy it at full retail price. Other financing options (like 12, 24, or 48-month device agreements, or Verizon Visa Card financing) don't qualify.
    • Not make any down payment toward your new Phone, if you are signing up with a 36-month device payment agreement.

You must sign up for the Subscription Plan at the time of your Phone purchase. If you are enrolling with a Phone that is considered BYOD, you must sign up at the time of line activation. Your Subscription Plan is non-transferable.

If you migrate from a mobile plan with an active enrollment in the Simplicity Program to a mobile plan that is not eligible for the Simplicity Program, your Simplicity Program enrollment, including any monthly promotional credit, will end and you will lose all Simplicity Program benefits.

Your Device Payment Agreement Is Separate

Your device payment agreement is a separate installment obligation between you and Verizon and is not part of your Subscription Plan. Canceling your Subscription Plan does not cancel, reduce, or modify your device payment agreement. You remain responsible for any outstanding balance on your device payment agreement regardless of your enrollment status.

    What's Included

While enrolled in the Simplicity Program, customers who purchased a Phone through a device payment agreement will receive a monthly device promotional credit equal to their monthly device payment installment. This credit will end when the applicable device payment agreement is paid in full or otherwise ended.

For customers who purchase an eligible Phone at full retail price and enroll in the Simplicity Program, a monthly credit equal to one thirty-sixth (1/36) of the Phone's full retail price will be applied over a 36-month period.

Customers in the Simplicity Program may not be eligible for other promotions while enrolled.

BYOD customers enrolled in the Simplicity Program will not receive a monthly device promotional credit.

The Simplicity Program also includes monthly credits for these:

    • Premium Visual Voicemail — Transcribes your voicemails to text.
    • TravelPass — Use your phone abroad with voice, text, and data. Simplicity Plus includes credits for 1 free day per month; Simplicity Pro includes credits for 2 free days per month.
    • Global Choice — Unlimited calling to one country of your choice. You can add more countries for an extra charge.

These features must be active on your line enrolled in the Simplicity Program to receive the included credit. If you cancel the Simplicity Program, the credit ends but the feature stays active on your account — you can keep it at the regular price or cancel it separately.

    Upgrading Your Phone

Subscription Plans allow you to upgrade your Phone up to twice within any 12-month period, measured on a rolling basis from the date of your enrollment in a Subscription Plan. To upgrade, you must:

    • Have made at least one monthly Subscription Plan payment.
    • Have paid at least 33% of your 36-month device payment agreement balance. If you have not yet reached 33%, you may make an additional payment to reach the 33% threshold. This requirement does not apply to full retail price purchasers or BYOD customers.
    • Return your current Phone in good working condition. Full retail price purchasers and BYOD customers are not required to return their Phone.

Good working condition is subject to inspection and acceptance by Verizon, and Verizon reserves the right to determine, in its sole discretion, whether a returned Phone meets the above requirements. Good working condition requires, including but not limited to, that your returned Phone powers on and off, does not have a cracked screen, has no significant damage as determined by Verizon, and has all password-protected security features (e.g., Find My iPhone) turned off.

If you are on a device payment agreement, when you make a qualifying upgrade and after returning your eligible Phone to us within 30 days, Verizon agrees, for your benefit and for the express benefit of any assignee of your original device payment agreement, to acquire your eligible Phone for the remaining balance of your original device payment agreement and pay off and settle that remaining balance. After Verizon does that, you are responsible for any balance under a new device payment agreement and/or the terms of any promotional offer associated with the Subscription Plan and for the monthly charges associated with your service. No refunds will be issued for any Subscription Plan payments already made.

When you upgrade, you will receive a return label and envelope to return your Phone. The following Phone return policies apply when you are returning a Phone in connection with an upgrade under any Subscription Plan:

    • If your Phone arrives and is not in good working condition, we’ll send it back and charge you the remaining balance on your next bill.
    • If you send the wrong Phone, we’ll return it and charge you the remaining balance on your next bill.
    • If we don't receive your Phone within 30 days, you'll be charged the remaining balance on your next bill.

    Canceling Your Plan

You can cancel your Subscription Plan at any time by managing your enrollment through your MyVerizon.com, or by calling us at 1-844-464-8796. You will remain enrolled until the end of your current billing cycle, and no refunds will be provided for any amounts already paid.

If you cancel your Subscription Plan, or no longer meet the eligibility requirements, you will lose access to all additional benefits, including monthly promotional credits, associated with that plan. Your device payment agreement remains a separate obligation that is unaffected by the cancellation of your Subscription Plan.

Upon cancellation of Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro, you will no longer receive new monthly TravelPass credits. Any TravelPass days you have already received but not yet used will remain available until their designated expiration date.

If you are enrolled in the Simplicity Program, your enrollment will continue after your Phone is paid in full.

    Additional Terms

If any part of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, that provision will be modified to the minimum extent necessary to make it valid. If it cannot be modified, it will be removed, and the rest of these terms will remain fully effective.

Verizon may update these terms or end the Subscription Plans at any time. Your eligibility will be determined at the sole discretion of Verizon. If the Subscription Plan ends or these terms are not satisfied, you will remain responsible for the remaining balance due under your device payment agreement.
