I cant get my guy to use a smart phone. Those phone is a replacement for his lost phone. Such a nicer phone than the junk he had. Alot easier to use the alpha keys and easier pressing instead of punching the keys.

I had the previous model for over four years, this one hasn't even made it a full year. The casing has broken and the battery is in failure. Very large and clunky in size (difficult to fit in my pocket), and very clunky in operation. The texting format is very difficult and time consuming to use. Messaging software seems to have been made to be frustrating. Every message must be individually opened to read, making group messaging or when you have a number of messages to go through a frustrating experience. Reception is fine and while the phone tells me the battery is in failure, it still lasts for days on a single charge.

Excellent flip phone with good reception in marginal areas. Very rugged, built to mil-spec. A bit heavy and thick, but worth it for durability and water resistance. Excellent voice clarity. Battery life is better than my previous phone.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

I liked the phone in general having had the previous model for over 5 years. With technological advancements i was surprised there was not much improvements. It is heavier and the battery life is still about the same. Texting seems a little more complicated, but it maybe just my old age. Overall happy with the phone so far. Have not had that long.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.

Works very good as a speaker phone I often use but more and more others are sending texts. When replying to them I would like to disable the underline delay when pressing keys.

DuraXV Extreme(+) texting UI is shockingly bad — any fix planned?

I’m a longtime “dumb phone” user and I want to like the DuraXV Extreme / Extreme+ (e.g., E4810). Hardware-wise it’s basically perfect for what I need. But the messaging experience is easily the worst part of the phone, to the point it’s affecting daily usability. The core issues: • Conversation view shows only a couple lines, so you can’t actually read messages without opening each one. • To view full content you end up drilling multiple layers deep, repeatedly, for basic texting. • Group texts / MMS are especially painful and confusing compared to any other feature phone I’ve used. This feels like a UI/UX problem more than a hardware limitation. Is there a firmware/software update planned to improve the messaging interface (full-message preview in threads, fewer clicks to read, less friction for group texts/MMS).

I was surprised how easy it was to set up the phone. I appreciate the simple format and menu, and the size of the buttons. Battery life seems to be very good. The only negative I have found is the speaker volume which for me could be a little higher.
