Its sleek design makes for comfort, I recently decided that i should start paying more attention to my activities because i thought i wasn't active enough. Turns out i walked 26 miles alone at work the first week of wearing it. Gave me a piece of mind. Also the sleep app is a game changer as seeing my paternerd explains alot...just a over all good feeling having it!

After 5 months of wear fitbit 5 lost its ability to charge for more than 12 hours at a time. It's supposed to be waterproof and I never wore it in water. It stopped charging as designed after a server tipped over an empty glass and some residual spray got on my wrist...but it was so minimal I didn't need to wipe it off.

Lasted 6 months and cannot return - going Garmin this time

Received watch as a gift in April 2023. Unable to recharge battery in October 2023. My daughter purchased the watch as a gift for me and contacted Amazon and the Seller to return the watch. Response was a no since it lasted beyond 90 days. Going with Garmin this time since my last two fitbits simply did not last. My previous Fitbit would not charge due to wear out of the contacts on the watch.

Purchased in Dec '21, did the free 6 months of service - there weren't any perks for sleep monitoring so got rid of the premium service. It was great and fun to use for a year and 5 months. Then it turned off and never came back on. All support could do is offer me 40% off of another purchase. But I wouldn't buy another item like this that only has a life expectancy of a year...

The Fitbit website does not display an IP rating: "Most Fitbit devices are water-resistant to 50 meters. They're designed to be swimproof and stand up to even the sweatiest of workouts.
