Verizon Shine Terms

    Overview

    In these Verizon Shine ("Shine") terms ("Terms"), you'll find important information about the Shine program, including our ability to make changes to Shine or these Terms. "We", "our" or "us" refers to Verizon. "You" or "your" refers to you.

    Shine provides special offers and benefits ("Offers") to eligible customers, including the opportunity to participate in various sweepstakes, claim tickets or passes to participate in different events, purchase presale event tickets, discount coupons and other opportunities. By participating in Shine, you agree to these terms. Any information we collect related to your participation in Shine is governed by the Verizon Privacy Policy.

    Shine is separate from any other rewards or loyalty program previously or currently offered by Verizon, and is subject to these terms and the Verizon Customer Agreement(s) for your Verizon service(s). Other rewards or loyalty programs are governed by the terms of those programs.

    Eligibility for Shine

    Shine is available for Verizon customers residing in the United States (excluding U.S. Territories) who have one of the following Verizon consumer services in good standing:

    • Postpaid Mobile with at least one smartphone or tablet. Lines with devices or plans meant for children under the age of 18 are excluded
    • Postpaid Verizon Home Internet, which includes 5G Home Internet, VHI Lite Home Internet, LTE Home Internet, or Fios Home Internet

    Using Shine

    All eligible Verizon customers have access to Shine – there's no need to sign up or enroll, but you must use the My Verizon app ("the App") to participate. Just download the App, authenticate your account, select the Me tab, and then select Shine. You'll be able to view and participate in available Offers. By participating in Shine, you agree that we may send you information about Shine via email, mail, text or push notifications through the App on your smartphone or tablet.

    Offer Information

    Shine Offers and these terms may be changed or withdrawn at any time. Offers may come from or involve a third-party provider ("Provider") and some Offers may be subject to additional terms and conditions. We are not responsible for the benefits, content or experiences you receive from a Provider. The information you give a Provider to claim or use an Offer is subject to the privacy policy of that Provider.

    When you claim and use an Offer, you release and agree to hold harmless Verizon and all of its affiliates from all injuries, claims, damages, losses, costs or expenses of any kind (including, without limitation, attorneys' fees), arising from or in connection with your participation in Shine or redemption or use of an Offer.

    If you obtain tickets or other benefits through Shine, you agree that we may share your contact information with the Provider(s), including but not limited to your name, address, telephone number, and email address. Use of an Offer constitutes your permission for us and our agencies to use your comments, photos, and / or your name, image and likeness in advertisements and social media for purposes of advertising and trade without further notice, review, or compensation to you, unless prohibited by law. You agree to confirm such permission in writing at our request without compensation.

    Any applicable federal, state and / or local income and other taxes on any claimed Offer are your sole responsibility. We may be required to report taxable amounts to the appropriate taxing authority.

    Account owners, managers and line/account members with eligible services can claim and use Shine Offers. However, certain Offers may be subject to additional terms, conditions and requirements.

    Shine Offer Types

    Epic Wins

    Shine Epic Wins gives eligible customers the opportunity to participate in a wide variety of sweepstakes with chances to win a variety of items and experiences. Each Epic Wins sweepstakes will be governed by its own separate terms and conditions as well as any requirements from the Providers of each award. No purchase is necessary to participate or win.

    Daily Drops

    Daily Offers may include free Provider offers, live event tickets, games, and exclusive content. Daily Offers will be available on a first come first served basis; quantities are limited.

    We reserve the right to substitute a Daily Offer item with another item of similar or greater value. We are not liable for replacing any lost, mutilated or stolen items or reward codes. Merchandise or other gifts rewards are not exchangeable or returnable.

    Live Events

    Shine Live Events Offers provide access to presale ticket opportunities ("Presale"), as well as tickets and passes for events and venues, including:

    Presale

    With Presale tickets, you can attempt to purchase up to four tickets for certain events during a presale sales window, which is before tickets are available to the general public. Presale tickets are limited in quantity and are available on a first-come, first-served basis while supplies last. In some cases, artists may set a lower ticket limit. Purchasing a Presale ticket will not affect the ability to claim other Shine Offers, although it may limit the number of Select Seat Tickets associated with the presale artist tour you may purchase.

    In order to unlock the Presale tickets, you must first authenticate on the ticket seller website using your Verizon login credentials. Once authenticated, you must log in to an existing ticket seller account or create a new one to purchase Presale tickets.

    A ticket seller may require that you register prior to a Presale purchase window. If you don’t register, you won’t be permitted to attempt to purchase Presale tickets. Registering does not guarantee you will be selected, receive a code, or have the ability to purchase Presale tickets.

    While Verizon provides access to the Presale tickets on the ticket seller website, Verizon does not own, develop or control the ticket seller website or any content or third-party links included on it and ticket seller’s policies apply to your use of their website.

    Select Seats

    Select Seats tickets are exclusively available to eligible Verizon customers and are subject to availability. Selects Seats tickets will be offered through Shine until they are sold out or for a specific number of days prior to the live event.The final date(s) for Select Seats tickets will be determined by the artist.

    The maximum number of Select Seats tickets an eligible Verizon customer may purchase will be determined by the artist. If Presale tickets are also available for an event, this limit includes both Presale and Select Seat ticket purchases. For example, if the ticket limit is four (4) tickets and two (2) are purchased during a Presale event, then a maximum of two (2) Select Seats tickets may be purchased, thereby totaling 4 tickets). Please note, this is per event within the tour. The Select Seats ticket limit can be found on the ticket seller's website after the eligible Verizon customer has been transferred from Shine on the App to Ticketmaster during the sales process.

    Featured Venues

    Featured Venues tickets are exclusively available to eligible Verizon customers at select Madison Square Garden's properties (including Madison Square Garden, Theatre at Madison Square Gardens, Radio City Music Hall, Beacon Theatre, The Chicago Theatre, and Sphere) around the country and are subject to availability. Featured Venues tickets will be offered through Shine until they are sold out or for a specific number of days prior to the live event.The final date(s) for Featured Venues’ tickets will be determined by the artist.

    The maximum number of Featured Venues tickets may be limited. The ticket limit can be found on the ticket seller’s website after the eligible Verizon customer has been transferred from Shine on the My Verizon App to Ticketmaster during the sales process.

    Local Passes

    Local Passes are offered at no-cost for certain entertainment and sporting events located around the country. Local Passes can also include special access to events that are limited in quantity. Local Passes are available in limited quantities on a first-come, first-served basis, while supplies last. Unless otherwise stated, Local Passes may only be claimed once every six (6) months per account.

    Ticket Terms

    The terms below apply to all tickets, passes, similar awards or other benefits obtained through Shine:

    • Tickets or passes obtained through Shine are fulfilled by the official ticket seller, venue and/or Provider and may be changed or revoked at any time. Tickets are subject to the rules, terms and conditions, and fees set by the ticket seller, venue and/or Provider, which may be shown on the ticket itself and/or the ticket seller website.
    • Ticket sales are final and resale of tickets is prohibited. Tickets may not be exchanged, transferred, or substituted for cash, merchandise or services. No refunds or exchanges are permitted unless otherwise noted. If you sell or attempt to sell a ticket, it will be forfeited and voided. Tickets have no cash value.
    • Verizon is not responsible for replacing any lost, mutilated or stolen tickets, event passes or offer codes.
    • Unless otherwise indicated, transportation to/from an event is not included.
    • Event date, times, and seating are determined at our sole discretion and are subject to change. If you or your guest(s) cannot attend on the specified event date, the tickets or passes will be forfeited.
    • If the event, or any events in connection with it, do not take place as scheduled, or are canceled for any reason, including due to Acts of God (such as, but not limited to, fires, explosions, earthquakes, and floods), acts of terrorism, civic disturbances, work stoppage or any other natural disaster, no additional substitution or compensation will be provided.
    • By purchasing or accepting tickets or passes, you agree to abide by all rules and requirements of the venue, including any health and safety measures in effect at the time of the event, which may include, but are not limited to, wearing masks, completing a health survey and/or temperature check, and/or providing proof of vaccination status. You assume all risks related to contracting a communicable disease or illness, whether that exposure occurs before, during, or after the event and you waive all claims against Verizon and any Providers relating to such risks.

    Termination of Services

    If your Verizon Account(s) are terminated, you will lose access to Shine and any saved Offers. We may monitor your Shine activity for compliance with these Terms and can suspend or terminate your Shine access at any time. You may lose previously claimed Offers or the ability to claim new ones if your Verizon account status changes, you fail to make payments on your Verizon account(s), we suspect fraudulent activity, you sell any tickets or event passes you receive from Shine, or we make changes to Shine.

    Changes to Shine

    We may change these Terms at any time, with or without notice. By claiming Offers or otherwise participating in Shine, you acknowledge that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms. Verizon reserves the right to modify, delete or otherwise change any of these Terms in our sole discretion, without further notice or compensation to you. Verizon reserves this right even if such changes cancel or affect the value of any Offers or benefits already accumulated or awarded. This also means that Verizon may modify or cancel the Shine program at any time.

    Any updates to these Terms will be effective immediately upon posting at https://espanol.verizon.com/support/shine-legal/. You may access the Terms on the App to review changes to Shine or these Terms. If you continue to claim offers or benefits after Shine or the Terms change, it means you are accepting the changes to Shine and the Terms.

    Limitation of Liability

    You and Verizon agree to limit claims against each other for damages or other monetary relief to direct damages. This limitation and waiver will apply regardless of the theory of liability. This limitation of liability also applies if you bring a claim against the companies providing offers or benefits, to the extent we would be required to indemnify those companies against any claims. You agree we are not responsible for problems caused by the Provider of an Offer or benefit, or the event sponsor, you, others, or by any act of God.
