Verizon LTE Network Extender Activation & Connection Test (1:40)
Once you've setup the Verizon LTE Network Extender and connected the power, it will start the activation process.
For the initial setup, the Verizon LTE Network Extender will complete the following steps in this order and display the set up information on the LCD screen.
- Hardware initialization
- Software initialization
- Connecting to the router
- Searching for GPS signal - This step can take up to 10 minutes as it connects to several GPS satellites.
- Conectándose a la red de Verizon
- Final updates and configuration - The LCD screen will display the final steps as the device downloads software updates that may be available and finishes configuration to finish activation.
- When the startup process is done, the LCD screen will read "Service Active".
If you run into any errors during device setup, a list of error codes and potential solutions can be found in the user's guide.
If the screen is still stating "Searching GPS signal" for over 60 minutes, it may indicate a signal issue at the location. You may need to relocate the device where there's a stronger signal or uncoil the GPS extension cable from the back of the device.
Alright, now that we're up and running, you can dial #48 to check to see if you're connected to your Verizon LTE Network Extender. If you hear a welcome message stating, "you are under 4G LTE Network Extender coverage" with ID, then you're good to go.
Also, depending on what kind of phone you have, you may also see an icon at the top of your screen that looks like a small house. This shows that you're connected to the Verizon LTE Network Extender.
Congratulations! You've just set up your Verizon LTE Network Extender. As long as you're within range of the network extender, you can use it to make a call.
