Inferior to Echo Dots and the Alexa ecosystem.

I decided to switch from the Alexa ecosystem to the Google assistant ecosystem because there were some annoyances with Alexa. I was excited to try the mini's because I read good reviews and read that the GA ecosystem was better than Alexa. However, after using them for a week I realized a few things. First, the Google nest mini audio was not even close to the audio of the 3rd generation dot let alone the 5th generation. The build quality was similar but the echo's are much heavy denoting a larger magnet and more solid state design. Another annoyance was the voices. You can change the voices but they don't sound as natural as the voices on the Alexa. The biggest problem I had was the google home app. It's terrible. The GUI is terrible, it's hard to use and disorganized. I preferred the alexa app much more on my iphone. With all of this I decided after using them for a week that I would return them. I'm back using alexa dots and I'm happy with the decision.

Good but needs improvement

This is my first Google device so I decided to put it in my classroom. Being a part of the Amazon ecosystem I am familiar with their devices. I noticed that it wasn't very responsive and often has glitches. Now it's possible that you connection is weak, however I am disappointed by its performance. I don't want to compare Alexa to Google, but much improvement can be done.

Super convenient for people who like to customize their living space. Nicely designed with neutral colors. Great for multitaskers. I play guitar so a lot of times I am sitting and my hands occupied but I may need to adjust the lights. Or get the time/weather. I can even be in my bedroom and turn off lights in other rooms with my voice to he will come to my room.

I've have this. Worked great for a little while. Now it randomly and often says mic if off, mic is on. It could be middle of night or the afternoon while listening to music. So far, Google had no resolution for the issue. Many people currently experiencing this issue. Buyer beware

I have the Google nest mini. How do I get it turn back on. It has been off for about a year. I would like to have service add back but dont no where to go to have service restored

Now that verizon has their own version of an echo dot, their Google Nest Mini, does anyone else that has the verizon lte internet have issues with their echo dot making calls?
