Setup is easy–all you have to do is plug it in and hit play. Samsung Freestyle - worst projector I’ve owned

Used this projector for 6 months and it gives rectangle image issue or sometimes doesnt display an image but can hear the sound in the background. What a waste of my money, it wasn’t cheap even when bought refurbished. Never again will I buy a Samsung product, quality has gone down.

The price hurts after knowing it’s good for 1 year

Everything about it is amazing, sound, screen but after less than 1 year runs off automatically after 15seconds and after looking I’m not the only one.

Don't waste your money

This product seems like it was rushed to market. The OS crashes, it's very buggy, slow, to navigate. There are MUCH better products on the market for far less. My projector stopped working altogether with only about 3 hours of actual use. I won't be buying any other samsung products anytime soon

Not so easy set up. It’s difficult to connect with other devices like apple products.

Fantastic for my creative & curious lifestyle

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I decided on a projector for my 1BR apartment because I could not commit to choosing which wall I wanted to mount a t.v. on. I'm a very creative type, and my apartment is a bit of an odd shape; the living room is spacious and open, so I want to keep it that way as a studio, and the den would only afford a 42 in t.v., which is underwhelming to me. The projector has been AMAZING for my vibe; I display it on the ugly apartment slat blinds, on the ceilings (bedroom and studio area), and also on the very tall walls. I want entertainment to be an experience (I only do it so often). Really cuddly, dark, big. This still works well in my dark green room in daytime, but not viewable in my white rooms without blackout curtains. So keep your experience in mind when purchasing. If you want to plop down anytime and push a button, a t.v. is for you. The Freestyle is pretty much the ONLY solution for a fair price if you like ambience and can't commit to where. The reason I deduct a star are for the reasons others talk about: you need to plug it in (a touch of setup), and there have been tech glitches. The setup was not easy (reset it twice), there are issues with voice activation and delay so I don't use it. Once my keystoning got stuck so blurry I couldn't fix it without restarting. What doesn't bother me is remote lag people mention. Its there, but I have the same issue generally with apps on Roku for much worse. Versitile little projector

I moved this from room to room and I have taken this with us on trip. It’s so functional and easy to use!

Versatile and portable!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The freestyle is versatile in what you can do with it. Most of the time I use for streaming. I have used it for gaming by using an adapter for the small hdmi port and its okay could be better. Using the smart things app is useful as a controller for the projector. I like using smart view when I don't have it at the house because I can use my tablet as it has 5G signal and I don't have to rely on wifi for this.

Do you need a separate tv connection for mirroring onto another screen? Or can you mirror onto a screen just with the galaxy smartphone and hdmi cable. And the Samsung projector ?

Will this work with a galaxy note 9?

You can connect the Freestyle Projector to your phone or tablet via Bluetooth to stream content from apps like YouTube or Disney+, or browse content from its built-in Samsung Smart TV features. ~Ivone

Is this compatible with apple iphones? Also how does it work with gaming?

It is compatible with Samsung Galaxy series phones, the full list can be explored under 'Check compatibility' underlined at the top of the sales page.
