this is a replacement for my previous flip phone that died after about 8 years. it does more than I need, which is OK. it was cheap, and that's more than OK. I've had it now maybe a couple years and have never had any issues whatsoever. calls, texts, the occasional picture, charges just fine. no complaints. if something happens to it I will get another one.

It was so functional and so much easier to use than the bulky smartphone I have. It has a browser where you can search things like YouTube, which appeals to a teenager like me. I mostly use it these days as something to use just in case my smartphone isn't available at the moment, but I don't want to go on my computer.

Good, solid phone! Works for what I need it to work for (calls, texts, basic internet access, etc.). Also, I can plug it into my computer, which not only charges it, but also allows me to access the files, which is almost a requirement for handheld devices, in my opinion.

Can't backup photos

It is not possible to connect ir to apc to backup photos. No cable will work. The USB connection settings are always greyed out. No cavles work. You will not be able to backup or save the photos. DO NOT BUY.

We have owned two of these phones for about 2-1/2 years. They are very simplistic with rudimentary features, but they do work OK. The documentation is marginal even the online manual from Alcatel is minimal. The battery life is very good and I can leave it "on" for a few days and it is still working. The small size fits right in my front pocket and I don't even know it is there sometimes. Many of the reviewers don't seem to like this phone, but after 2-1/2 years ours are still working for us. We only paid about $100 each for these phones. If folks are looking for more sophistication maybe they should be looking at smart phones. This phone is not smart at all. But like I said ours have both worked for what we need, with no problems at all. I have dropped mine many times and it still works.

Good option for a basic flip phone. Some quirks as the all have but this one is worth buying

I have used this phone for about 8 to 10 months now. It has a SD card so you can import your contacts via a vcf file. It supports bluetooth , I have had no problems with voice clarity or call clarity. text messaging is very good, MMS is a little clunky adding or seeing multiple names on a text, but you will learn around that. I don't use the email or internet option so I cannot comment on that. Pictures are decent enough (during day light - forget low light pictures). If your looking for a basic phone, rest assured with this one. Plan to be a little adaptable with a few quirks but its far from the Nokia garbage. I wasn't a huge fan of the soft buttons at first but over time they are just fine.

No real option for Seniors

All the flip phones are better for Seniors as the buttons are protected from being pushed inadvertently such as with the iPhone. Unfortunately, the buttons on these phones are so small and pushed together that you cannot determine where one button ends and another begins for seniors who can’t feel their fingertips much any more or their dexterity isn’t as functional. Why isn’t there a Flip or hone with bigger single buttons which aren’t as close together and are delineated in bold bright colors? Seniors rely on these devices in case of an emergency. Families need to stay in touch with them any time. Seniors independence depends on these phones in some cases. Please someone find a better easier to use phone for Seniors and the disabled.

Go FlipV is designed for use with Verizon network. To use it on Page Plus, the device may need to be unlocked first, so that Page Plus SIM card is recognized.
