I purchased the clear case and it does not have the "dual" protection. It is one hard plastic case that directly attaches to your phone. This is shown in the pictures of the clear case, but does not match the description which does state there is a soft inner case. I have had incipio cases for my past 2 phones and haven't had to replace them ever after many, many, many drops. My last phone was an iPhone 7. I do love the duo cases but didn't like the colors available, so went with the clear. I trust the case, my only qualm is I would prefer to have the dual protection or more monochromatic colors to choose.

I have used Incipio cases for years. The drop protection, sleek design, and top notch quality set the standard. I have dropped devices on the ground with no damage when using Incipio products.

This is the 3rd phone in a row I purchased an Incipio case. I purchased the Duo this time in Dark Blue/Classic Blue myself and the Clear case for my wife. We've dropped our phones numerous times and this case has held up. I like the design. The only reason I give it 4 stars instead of 5 is because the side buttons on my wife's Clear case are too difficult to press. Even after 3 months of use, it hasn't gotten any better. They work great on my case. It seems this is only an issue with the Clear case.

bought it and not even a day i used it and i found out the plastic outer layer easily scratched a lot and even left stain like spot right after i clean the plastic layer. but, the good things that this case make my phone feel safe with the bulky design. i like it!

I have the clear duo case for iPhone 12 I didn't like that when I wiped my phone down with an alcohol wipe, the anti microbial part (I'm guessing), it turned white and streaky and I can't get it to come off. My phone case looks scratched now and dirty.

The case itself is great, but if you're into aesthetics like me, you may be turned off from the glossy accents on this new iPhone 12 case. Plastic gloss makes anything look cheap. Under certain light, you can see scratches on the glossy accents. The old dual pro cases has always been an easy pick for me; not only because of the great protection but also because of the minimalist design and all-over matted finish. I also like that you don't have to "snap" the case on. Hard rigid cases that snap on makes feel like it may damage finish of the phone over time. The inner shell is nice and soft and the hard outer shell doesn't make contact with the phone and add extra "dual" protection.
