I've had two of these dimmer switches and they work well when they do, but any interruption of power or internet service and they fail to reconnect automatically and it's a struggle to reconnect them manually, even after resetting them to factory.
Currently they're both not connected and can only be operated with the buttons.
Will be buying replacements today, .....correct, it won't be anything from this brand.

Defective Product, poor service, Don't buy!!

I have been a WEMO user for 15+ years. Recently, I purchased a WEMO Dimmer Switch that after a difficult install involving Apple Homekit, worked; for only 3 months and then it didnt work. After many hours of research, trial resets and installs, and hours of WEKO support calls, it was determined the switch was defective. WEMO indicated they would provide a new switch. What I later found out was that I needed to send back the defective switch without being charged for the new one. I am required to pay for the shipping of the defective switch. My LOSS as I will not spend more on a clearly defective company.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Belkin sent their package fast and was received in no time. Package is well put together and instructions were easy to understand. Also came with stickers for you to mark your wires which is very helpful for the average Joe that doesn’t install light switches often and as far as connecting to you home network couldn’t be easier.

Outside Garage Light Switch

DO NOT BUY if you expect to use the switch in a detached garage away from your router location. I have 2 switches in a detached garage and service is completely unreliable - one day 1 works, the next day none work. I have tried resetting them and this fix is only good for a few hours at best. The switches become undetectable by the app in less than a day or two.

Hi Gary, Our Wemo devices work fine as long as they get at least 2-3 Wi-Fi bars from the main router. Make sure that the units are equipped with the latest firmware, and placed on areas away from physical obstructions. Come on Wemo, other brands have dimmers compatible with 3 way switches. Why don’t you have one?
