Stream TV Soundbar / Soundbar Pro

You can buy Stream TV Soundbar or Soundbar Pro online  or in a Verizon store.

You need a Verizon wireless or Verizon Fios Internet account to purchase or rent Video On Demand (VOD) titles, but Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro will work with almost any internet service.

To use Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro you need a TV or monitor with an HDMI connection.

As part of your initial setup, you will be asked to establish your Wi-Fi connection while following the on-screen prompts.

The lights on the front of your Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro signals whether the device is On (White) or Off (Red).

To download a new app, select the + symbol at the end of your apps rail to access the Google Play Store.

To remove or reorder an app:

1. Highlight the app and hold down the OK button on the remote.

2. Select Move to reorder or Remove from favorites to remove.

Note: Certain apps may permanently pinned your Favorites rail and cannot be moved or removed.

If you have automatic updates turned off on your Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro, you’ll need to:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select View More.
3. Go to Advanced Settings from the Settings menu.
4. Select Upgrade Bluetooth remote.

If your remote does not sync to your TV volume during the initial setup or as part of a subsequent software update, you can perform the sync manually.

1. Select Advanced Settings from the Settings menu.
2. Select Configure Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro remote from the Advanced Settings menu.
3. Hit the Begin button from the Configure Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro remote screen.
4. Wait for the hardware configuration to complete and follow the on-screen prompts to confirm successful configuration.

Note: Depending on your current remote firmware, you may first be prompted to update your current version.

To change the language on your remote:

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select View More.
3. Select Device Preferences from the Settings menu.
4. Select Language.

Make sure the Stream TV Voice Remote is in range of the Stream TV Soundbar (<50cm) when pairing.

Check that the batteries are installed properly and fully charged. 

Follow the steps to repair Stream TV Voice Remote. (Refer to the chapter 4.3 in the user guide)

Using your Stream TV Voice Remote

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select View More.
3. Select Advanced Settings from the Settings menu
4. Select Upgrade Bluetooth Remote.

Using your Stream TV Voice Remote

1. Go to Settings.
2. Select View More.
3. Select Advanced Settings from the Settings menu.
4. Select Configure Stream TV Voice Remote.
5. Select Begin.

Depending on your current remote firmware, you may first be prompted to update your current version.

Press Find my remote button on the left side (Soundbar), or the top (Soundbar Pro). 

A sound plays on the remote to help you locate it.

Press and Hold the power key on your Stream TV Voice Remote. 

A pop up menu will appear.

If your remote is lost or broken you can use your smartphone as a remote control with the Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro app. Visit Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro - Set Up Remote Control App to learn how.

You can report an issue through the Stream TV Soundbar/Soundbar Pro set top box, by going to Help > Stream TV Support > Report a Problem.

Reboot your Stream TV Soundbar

1. Check that your HDMI cables and power cable are fully connected to the TV and Soundbar.

2. Using the Stream TV Voice Remote to turn off your Soundbar. Unplug the cables to the Soundbar and reconnect the cables after a few seconds. Press the power button on your Stream TV Voice Remote to turn on your TV and Soundbar. 

3. Check HDMI ARC Port and cables

4. Make sure that your HDMI cable is inserted into the HDMI OUT that is labeled on the Soundbar.

Note: If your HDMI cable is inserted into the TV ARC port, the TV audio will output from the Stream TV Soundbar. If the HDMI cable is not in the TV ARC port, the sound will output from the TV 

Check HDMI Cables

1. Make sure the HDMI cable is not damaged. Try to connect it to other ports. 

2. If you fail to establish a connection even after connecting it to another port, try to connect it to other HDMI devices. If it doesn’t work, then the HDMI cable may be damaged. 

3. Try to use other HDMI cables to connect your Stream TV Soundbar to solve the problem.

Try Removing Other HDMI Connections

1. Turn off both your TV and Stream TV Soundbar.

2. Disconnect all the devices that are connected to the TV through HDMI. This prevents other HDMI CEC devices from causing any issue. Reconnect only the HDMI wire between the TV and Stream TV Soundbar and  then turn the TV and Soundbar on using the Stream TV Voice Remote.

Check that  the HDMI cable is connected to your TV’s HDMI ARC port.

When pressing the power key of Stream TV Voice Remote to wake up the Stream TV Soundbar, some TV models will display a black screen, which means that the TV does not detect the wake-up of Stream TV Soundbar.

You can press the Home key on the Stream TV Voice Remote, and then the Stream TV Soundbar home screen will be displayed.

On some TV models where one or more players are connected to Stream TV Soundbar, switching back from TV using TV’s remote only displays the connected device UI.

You need to use Stream TV Voice Remote to change the input to Stream TV Soundbar UI.

Stream TV Soundbar does not detect the external device connected to Stream TV Soundbar

In some rare cases, connected devices to the Stream TV Soundbar can’t be detected properly due to high default refresh rate.

You may need to connect the device to the TV, change its default resolution/refresh rate to 4K 60Hz.  Then reconnect the device to the Stream TV Soundbar.

1. Unplug and reconnect the HDMI cable from Stream TV Soundbar’s HDMI out port.
2. Do the same on the TV side, re-plug the HDMI in port.
3. Try a different TV HDMI in port.
4. If the problem persists, please verify the HDMI cable is OK or try a different HDMI cable.
5. After changing the HDMI cable, re-connect the HDMI cable on Stream TV Soundbar HDMI out port and TV in port.
6. Please make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the TV's HDMI ARC port and Stream TV Soundbar’s HDMI out port

When the Stream TV Soundbar is properly set up with the TV via TV’s HDMI ARC port, the audio is played through Stream TV Soundbar.

Pressing the Home button on the Stream TV Voice Remote (One Touch Play), the TV should switch inputs to Stream TV Soundbar’s UI.  However, on some TV models, OTP does not work properly.

If this occurs, you will need to use the TV’s remote control to manually switch TV’s input to Stream TV Soundbar.

If you press the power key of the Stream TV Voice Remote, the TV screen appears black on the screen, but the Stream TV Soundbar turns to the standby and the LED will change from white to red.

If you want to turn off the Stream TV Soundbar, you need to press and hold the Power for 3-4 seconds, then follow the on-screen dialogs to power off the Stream TV Soundbar, the system will power off, and the LED will go off.

Pressing the power key will put the Stream TV Soundbar into standby mode, and the LED shall turn Solid Red color, the system is not power off and it is on standby mode.

Note. Please refer to Section 1.3.4 of the user guide for LED behavior.

1. Make sure there is enough space on the Stream TV Soundbar storage.
2. Make sure you are connected to a stable internet connection before process the OTA update.
3. If the system can’t upgrade to a new software version successfully, the system will roll back to the original software version after several retries (up to 6 times). If after 5 minutes, the system does not boot up, the user may manually unplug the power of the device, and reboot the device, for up to 6 times to roll back to original software
