Simplicity Plus and Simplicity Pro add-on FAQs

Simplicity Plus and Simplicity Pro are optional packages you can add to qualifying calling plans. The 2 add-on packages vary by eligible calling plans and included features.

You become eligible for a smartphone upgrade after making your first add-on payment and once you pay at least 33% of your 36-month Device Payment Plan. We waive the remaining balance on your current Device Payment Plan when you return the device in good condition.

To enroll in Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro, you must:

• Be on an eligible Simplicity plan
• Have a Verizon 36-month Device Payment Plan loan term
• Bring your own device to Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro

Enroll in Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro when you purchase a new device. The enrollment option appears on the device's page. You can't enroll after you buy your device.

No, you can't use any other trade-in offer on this line. This upgrade only requires the return of the device that Verizon pays off.

Yes, you bring your own device and enroll in the program, but you qualify only for Simplicity Plus.

If you are enrolled in Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro, check My Verizon to see which devices qualify for an upgrade. To get an upgrade, you'll need to:

• Be enrolled in Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro.
• Make at least one Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro payment.
• Pay at least 33% of your device.

You can upgrade up to 2 times within any 12-month period through the Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro programs if you meet the upgrade requirements.

If you haven't met the 33% minimum payment for your device payment plan, you pay the remaining amount needed to reach 33% to qualify for the upgrade. Otherwise, you can buy out the device in full.

You'll get a return label and envelope to return your device.

You must return the old device in good condition within 30 days of the upgrade date. If we don't receive the device by day 30, we charge the buyout amount.

A smartphone in good working condition means:

• The device turns on and off.
• The screen functions correctly and is free of cracks.
• The front and back glass are free of cracks.
• There is no visible corrosion on the device or ports.
• There is no water damage.
• The battery is present on devices where the battery is removable.
• The device and/or charging port is free of cracks, dents or missing pieces and chunks.

Good to know: You do not need to return your device if it is 100% paid off.

After your initial purchase order you won't be allowed to do any trades for promotions. However, you can still do a trade-in for market value.

To be eligible for a Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro upgrade, you must return your device in good working condition.

When you cancel the Simplicity Pro or Simplicity Plus programs:

• Your Device Payment Plan continues with the standard monthly charge on your bill.
• You remain enrolled in Pro or Plus until the end of your bill cycle.
• There isn't a refund for Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro charges you already paid.

You can re-enroll before your current billing period ends.

If you cancel Simplicity Plus or Simplicity Pro:

• You'll stop accruing TravelPass days
• Accrued TravelPass Days remain active until they expire
