Cómo usar Verizon Smart Family - Video (3:59)
How to use Verizon Smart Family Premium.
Every time you open the app, you'll see the Home screen.
This is your family hub where you can keep track of everyone's location all in one place.
Below the map, you'll see your family's habits with relevant insights.
Tap the Family profiles tab to manage profiles for all your family members.
You can gain access to all of the available parental controls by selecting one of your children.
On your child's profile page, you'll see their current location and any new notifications. Their daily web and app activity is displayed in the graph.
Check out all the additional details to get more insight about their web and app usage.
This makes it easy to see how your kids are spending their time online and can be helpful for setting content filters.
To filter content that's not age-appropriate, choose what categories you want to limit.
You'll be able to block access to entire categories of apps and websites, whether they're inappropriate or simply something you don't want your kids exposed to yet.
When you think they're ready, you can easily unblock them.
Want to know who your child is talking with most? View their calling and texting activity.*
And you can help create healthy phone habits by limiting their texts, calls and data. Set activity limits during school and night hours or create your own custom schedule. Don't worry - your child can always communicate with trusted contacts and make emergency 911 calls no matter what.
You can also make sure your kids are chatting with up to 20 trusted contacts. These are people they'll be able to get in touch with any time, regardless of other limits or restrictions you set.
For a detailed map view of the entire family Tap the Locations tab. Each family member will be listed here with their latest location.
When your child is on the move, live location tracking lets you keep tabs on them at any time.
You can also save locations for quick access. Just enter an address, add a label and choose a map icon. Toggle on boundary alerts to be notified if family members move in or out of them. You can customize the boundary radius, choose who it is applied to and select to be notified when they leave or arrive.
With Scheduled location alerts, you can schedule selected times to receive alerts about your child's location. When you add a new alert, you'll select a time and the day of the week to be notified. You can apply the scheduled alert to all your children or just one.
If your child disables location services tracking on their device, you'll still be able to see their approximate location from the Verizon wireless network.
Your child can choose to send a Check-in notification with their exact location at any time. This helps build trust... and with trust comes good things.
With Pick me up, they can ask to get picked up exactly where and when they want.
You'll be notified to view their requested pick up location on the map. When you accept the request, you can get driving directions and they'll get a message letting them know you're on the way.
If you're sharing your location, they can monitor how close you are.
Whether they're driving or riding, you can enable driving insights and set crash alerts.
To learn more about how we calculated their driving score, you can view a weekly report of recent trips.
You'll see the total number of trips and miles traveled along with any risky driving behavior - like speeding and phone usage.
Tap on any recent drive to view all the details. You'll see a map with the path they traveled along with when and where anything happened along the way.
For each trip, you'll want to choose whether your child was a driver or passenger, so their driving scores are only impacted by their own driving habits. For kids that don't drive yet, you can turn on the switch to enable a default passenger role.
And with crash detection, you'll be notified of any unexpected accidents.** If a potential crash is detected, you'll receive a notification with your child's current location.
Give them a call to see what happened and navigate right to their location. Your child can call you and call 911.
That's Verizon Smart Family.
La libertad que ellos quieren. La tranquilidad que tú necesitas.
*Smart Family does not control calls and texts made through third-party messaging and calling apps.
**Crash detection feature will not detect all crashes and will not contact emergency services.
