Can no longer receive texts consistently

Used this phone a year and a half ago without issue for calls and in and out texts. Came back to a flip phone and thought just putting in the physical SIM it would work the same. However, it no longer receives texts consistently. I can make calls, receive calls, and send texts. However, receiving texts can only be received if it's SMS from the sender. Tried problem solving with Verizon, but nothing worked consistently.

Kyocera was so much better than this phone. 1 year old and the signal strength is such that I need to replace the phone. On the phone with Verizon for an hour to improve it without success. Kyocera's functionality is so much better than this phone.

I purchased this because it was a Nokia. They've been in the phone business for a long time so what could go wrong? The cheap Operating system is terrible. I am having issues with everything from the clock and alarm system to the text messages. Once I created an alarm I haven't been able to turn it off. So if I don't want the lunch alarm going off in an afternoon meeting I have to delete the alarm. The clock randomly displays the wrong time. An alarm I never created went off at 8:13 this morning. I have a large text group. If I get 6 messages since I last checked, half will show up and the other half I have to manually download. Which messes up the timeline and makes it hard to comprehend without a lot of scrolling and rereading. Sometimes they won't download and you don't get the message. Other times it has taken several hours for it to download, running down the battery as it is struggling to work. I don't know if it is a software or hardware issue, but I only get one bar of service. I have seen it blink momentarily to 2 bars. Even in town, in site of half a dozen cell towers, still one bar. The phone may be okay but the software issues make it a waste. Take your chance with another phone.

My wife is disabled and needed a new flip phone and this one was ideal for her. It has large buttons that light up and she had no problems with it.

I have this phone. When I go on the Verizon website to manage my voicemail password, I get a notice that the device "is not voicemail capable." Is that correct?

How do you pick up Voice Mail
