The absolute worst, most frustrating, least helpful, least functional product I have ever had the misfortune of paying money for in my 37 years. Seriously. I disregarded all the warnings and low ratings, thinking that I didn’t need very much from a phone, never having had a smart phone. But I was wrong and I am not even going to go into detail about the myriad ways it both sucks and has been breaking/glitching constantly. (It broke and was replaced under warranty twice, warranty is only a month long) Get absolutely anything else. For the first time, I understand when people write reviews saying things like “if i can prevent one other person from making this mistake, i will have done good in the world.”

i got this phone and made sure it's the right model. (text and call only) sku-tcl4056v. the guy in the store handed me this telling me there was no internet. there is an entire web browser. there is no app to get to it. i'm guessing all they did was remove the app shortcut to get to the browser for the text and call only version of this phone, however they didn't remove the browser or it's functions from the phone at all. you just have to jump through a few extra hoops to get to it. if you receive a website link within a text message, with the conversation closed at the time of receiving it, and then open it, the link appears in bold and underlined. when you click on it, it will open up a legit web browser. sometimes the browser is view only. (not allowing you to search or refresh or look at your own history etc...) but if you click on something that opens a pop up window (like a some full sized pictures), it will open it in a new page/window/tab that DOES allow full browser tools. another way to get to it is to log onto a public wifi. it will automatically open a browser and load the wifi's login page to accept terms and conditions. from there, you can surf the entirety of the internet. they just made it look like there's no internet/ truthfully though, this phone has a fully functional web browser that you'll notice after a while of using it.

It does what it needs, and nothing more, but the standard pro version is such an improvement that it leaves this in the dust. This is a basic phone that I disliked having.

A docking station would be much easier. The purchase is for my aged senior mom. Also there is no spot available for “ my phone number” like other flip phones have. The buttons are easy to read. I programmed the phone with volume and ringtone, and added all the contact phone numbers she would need or receive calls from. If a number comes up that she does not recognize she will not answer it. I know mom would not have been able to do this without help.

It more complicated than my old phone and I'm having problems with clearing the screen if I increase volume on the ringer. The phone won't let me do anything else until I remove the battery. Also, I can't put it on speaker. I have hearing problems and its extremely frustrating. I tried contacting TCL but their suggestions didn't work. When posting new contacts, I can't add anything except a name and phone number. I don't like this phone!
