We switched our kid from a normal tablet to this tablet and I love having more controls in place. There is a kids app that's their screen that's pin protected so they can't get to the main tablet screen themselves. You can download apps and add them to their screen. There aren't many reviews so I took a gamble. It's basically the normal tablet but comes with the case, 3 crayon stylists and the kids app/view. To me was worth the extra $50.

Best tablet for the $$$

I've had this Galaxy A9+ tablet for a month now and I love it. I use it mainly for watching YouTube and Netflix/Prime videos and general browsing on the Internet. The screen is sharp and bright and the colors are perfect. It's quite thin and lightweight yet feels sturdy and solid. The 64GB of memory is plenty. If you need more, the A9+ has a microSD card slot for additional storage. While it not an iPad, it's almost as good for much less $$$. You can buy 2 of these for the price of an iPad. I'd definitely buy the Samsung tablet again.
