Definitely not for kids. I have set all the parental controls and my kids are constantly changing the settings. Does not hold a charge and half of the time it’s plugged in it doesn’t even charge. It will only work with the charger it comes with, all other chargers it says “slow charging”.

After looking at the TCL tab Disney edition 2 here on the website and also looking at the one at the authorized retailer for Verizon the other one is definitely going to be a little bit more expensive and for kids it makes a great Disney edition tab it's not really a tablet so yeah great product

Hello. Sorry to hear that. If it does this all the time, please feel free to contact Verizon for warranty support or TCL support at 1-855-224-4228 during business hours. Periodically, you may have system update downloaded. If so, the device will perform a reboot. On some other occasion, if the power button is depressed accidentally for a long period, it will also reboot. Hope this helps. - Kevin.

So to start this tablet took so long to set up for no reason other than it sending you in circles. Once I got it set up, I noticed it was never consistent with downloading games so I did some research and noticed it’s because games can be downloaded within ads which bypasses parental controls. Every app downloaded has ads so there’s no controlling what kind of apps are downloaded since parental controls don’t apply. We finally had to take the tablets away because we couldn’t trust that they could be used safely. Very disappointing. They’re geared towards being kid friendly but the very opposite of being safe for kids. Another minor complaint is that the apps will kick you off on a regular basis.

An infant could figure out how to change the settings on this. My kids are constantly changing the settings and I have set all the parental controls. Even when I lock the screen for a movie or a show it does not stay locked.

The Tab Disney Edition 2 has the Google Operating System, Android 13. With it, you can find apps from the Google Play Store that will allow you to make calls over the internet. However, you will still need to have a cellular data service to connect to the internet, if you don't have any Wi-Fi internet connection. Verizon 5G data service would be perfect and would allow you the internet access on-the-go, anywhere there is Verizon service. Please see the Verizon plan for your need. - Kevin.
