Is it even really a speaker?

It's small like the palm of your hand small. Turned all the way up even with the volume booster on your phone or computer people talking 10 ft away are louder than the speaker. It's something you would have to have right next to your ear to hear well. Charging port is on the bottom so it can't sit on its own feet while it's charging for those of us that leave our speakers plugged in. A speaker I can't hear very well at full volume, is it really a speaker?

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
At first I didn't think it was going to be that small, but after awhile of thinking about it, it's cute. I can throw it in my bag, it doesn't take up much space, and the quality of the sound from the speaker is great. And most importantly, I love pink 💗 Thanks Verizon for another great product purchased from you 👍🙂❤️

Has a great sound, plenty of volume, connects easily, is waterproof and the perfect size to take outdoors on the patio, camping, to the beach or when you feel like singing in the shower. I take it to any room when I'm cleaning or to enjoy while I'm cooking. The kids love it too and it's extremely durable too! Oh and it lights up!!! Great speaker!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Altec Lansing HydraMini Everything Proof Bluetooth Speaker has been a great addition to my home. It is lightweight and very portable. It is quite easy to set up a device to this speaker, I did not even need to read the directions to figure it out. There are a lot of color options that you can cycle through to find just the right set up for your needs. The sound quality is decent. The buttons are easy to press. The carabineer clip makes it easy to attach to multiple things. You can also link this speaker with a second speaker easily. This is a great portable speaker.
