Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I enjoy the ease of connectivity for this keyboard. What I wish is that I could fold the keyboard under in reverse or somehow lay the iPad flat without having to remove it from the keyboard. The price is a bit excessive as well.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
This keypad is flawless. It holds the iPad in a horizontal position and makes entries very easy. Reading ebooks and contacting with FaceTime are both comfortable and easy to use.

Do you have to charge it separately from the iPad or does it charge while you have it connected to a "changing" iPad?

Thanks for your inquiry! To charge an Apple Magic Keyboard, connect a USB-C to Lightning cable to the Lightning port on the back of the keyboard, then plug the other end into a USB port on your Mac or a USB power adapter; the keyboard will automatically charge while connected. -Christy
