As a grandparent & educator the gizmo watch has been nice to keep in contact with my grandson! BUT the watchband needs some help! Children grow fast and the band is not able to stretch enough to grow with the wrist. So it would be helpful if there were more lengths available to purchase. I have had to look for other options to replace the small band and it is not at verizon.

We replaced the original band with this Nylon band and we've had it for two months and it looks great. No fraying or broken hinges and comfortable. My 8 year old is very active, soccer, neighborhood kids, hiking, biking, the band is significantly better. I didn't trust the amazon bands so I went with the Verizon band, glad I did. I worry the band size is pretty short, so bed sure to measure your childs wrist.

Band is worthless

The band is literally made to be broken. Ours broke within 2 weeks as did everyone else we know that bought this watch - 4 different kids. Verizon needs to offer free replacement and a recall - very easy to lose the watch when the band breaks so easily. I purchased insurance which the dealer said would "cover anything even lost watch" but when I went to replace the band he said there was a replacement cost which was the same as a new band. Neat. Rip off don't waste your money.

The band breaks all the time and is terribly uncomfortable for kids. Do you think the designer even considered that a child would be wearing this garbage?

The watch itself has been a great purchase. We have two daughters and they each have one. Unfortunately we've had to replace 5 bands between the two of them in one year... and counting. This particular band from Verizon is the best fitting. The clasp broke pretty quickly on the first one we had. The second one lasted a while but the velcro wore off and started to just fall off her wrist. We've bought a few from Amazon as well. They are a little long... not made for tiny wrists. They have broken as well. I'm not sure what the answer is but I really wish someone would make a higher quality band. I've now spent more on the bands than the actual watch. One of my daughters hasn't had a band in weeks because I can't believe I have to buy another one... she has been carrying around the watch in her back pack. Please make a better product or reduce the price of this one!!!!

Band is awful and so is Verizon's response to this issue.

The watch falls off wrists so easily - it would fall of a sedentary adult's wrist, let alone an active child. And the band breaks. And it's horribly uncomfortable. And I asked Verizon for help identifying a replacement brand and they were completely incompetent. Thanks for meeting my expectations Verizon!

I purchased the gizmo watch for my daughter, within 2 weeks the original band broke. I took the watch back to the store, they kindly replaced the band at no charge and replaced it with the velcro band. Now the velcro is wearing and we will have to replace the band again! This watch has been more of an inconvenience than anything! A very poorly designed watched without keeping the children who will be wearing it in mind.

Yes our 2 gizmo watch bands broke like everyone else’s, like in 2 weeks. We purchased a replacement from amazon and it was OK, a little long but works. Then Verizon sent out a replacement band unsolicited. Luckily for me we needed band #2 and this band works well and has been on for about 2 months now and no issues. Perhaps the bum plastic has been upgraded from the originals. And the kids like this Velcro type better anyway.

Where do I get the D Ring? My band did not come with it?

What size/width is this band? The end clip on my son's watch keeps breaking off - it's poorly designed and once it breaks off, it can't be fixed. I've been to Verizon twice because of this issue and now I'm on the 2nd replacement watch because of it.

Any 20mm quick release watch band will work. As everybody else, ours broke almost immediately and had to purchase from another source.
