I was so excited to get to use this and the installing part is so easy as long as you look up ahead of time the wiring of your door bell and make sure it is compatible. Make sure to download the Google home app first and make a nest account when you have it installed. All so easy you will have everything done in less then a hour. I love it so much!!! This does so much you will have peace of mind all day. It tracks all day for you, notifications are instant and you can add up to 5 people to have access to the camera features with even adding the kids with less access to everything for them, which I find as a parent. The color is outstanding, the sound isn't garbled, it's crystal clear even in the wind. This camera will allow saving of videos and feed for long periods with the help of Gemini if need be if you need to use that option. I find that fantastic as if you need to be away from your home for longer periods, the nest has your back. You are in control of all features, you can add what you want to capture, you can view as fast as hitting the Google home app and you see what the camera view sees. And play past videos if something was delivered at a certain time and you needed to verify, it has the time there for you. This camera is fast and efficient at capturing what it needs to and as sensitive as someone even pulling a bit into our driveway. No need to race to the door immediately, check who's there when you get the notification even before they ring the bell and belive me that works too. The talk back feature is wonderful, as sometimes you are home or not and being able to communicate from anywhere is truly everything to me. If you dont have a camera doorbell this one is for you, your in control the whole time, the pictures say it all!! I recommend this over and over!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Nest Doorbell sound like a great feature for my house. I was really excited to install it and got my husband to help me.
What a nightmare! The installation is horrible, there’s no manual only YouTube video with a tutorial and the freaking part on top simply doesn’t fit properly (reason why I had to use a hook to hold the camera). Now it is installed, but my chime box won’t stop going off. I do not recommend it at all especially if you have an older house. Don’t get the wired version! It will be a nightmare! The camera is the only good thing. But I don’t even know if I can keep this or if my chime box will explode at this point (and yes, it is supposed to be compatible with it)

The setup was simple and the app walks you through everything step by step, which made installation easy even for someone who doesn’t usually work with wiring. Came with everything I need to install it and took me maybe 10 minutes with the video instructions. The camera seems clear and I was able to hear the snow removal guys when they came out. Didn't have any need to keep my original chime (happy with just the Visitor Announcements on my Google Home speaker) so I have mine wired directly to a transformer that sits within a neat little enclosure box on the wall in place of my original chime box.
Quality of the new 2K doorbell is great. The 160 degrees lens gives a much better coverage of my front path than the old battery version. Night vision is much better too. Notifications are nice and quick to come through to my phone and Google Home speakers (only about a 2 second delay).
