I was going to buy four, but I only bought two and that's great, because they're really good, but the battery unfortunately doesn't last long enough, it only lasted less than an hour and I charged them all night and they still didn't work.

Cool product. I bought 2 but was hoping for more effects on the app. Guess you need 4 or more to really have a light show? Also, the built in “sound/beat” mic reacts poorly. I wanted to buy a PartyBox speaker but will have to buy one sooner now to get the full effects of my 2 lights.

Love how the light reacts to music frequencies as well. Can change the light effect with the partybox app which is pretty intuitive to use. Have not seen any other competitors make a product like this of this quality. JBL has another homerun.

I have bought these lights (6) and they only last 1.5 hours. They don’t not stay on longer than that. I have returned then already once and the second batch has done it as well. If I can get some type of phone call or email to figure out what’s going with the lights. I used them for my venue space and they die before the party gets going. I love how they look but I can’t use them.

We got a set of 4 of these to add to Friday night party night and the kids dance party’s! While the sticks are fun and do provide a light show it is a colossal disappointment they are not backwards compatible with the 310 series speakers or the 1000. We have a party box 100, a pair of the 310’s and a 1000 and it won’t sync with any of them. I wish they would do a software update to utilize the TWS feature to pair the light sticks. It would get 5 stars if the sticks were compatible with the slightly older versions of speakers. Yes it does have a microphone but it’s a complete contrast to the speakers lighting profile, almost to the extend that you need to turn off the speaker lights or it looks awkward.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The JBL Party Lightstick is pretty cool - HOWEVER I did think it was a speaker. It is not - it is just lights. It does however sync with certain JBL products. I use my party lights with my JBL Party Box speaker. You can sync the lights with the beat of song! The lights are also very bright, so if you are someone who throws parties, gatherings, bbq’s, etc, these are pretty cool with other speakers like the party box. The lights are also pretty tall so they are very stand out to people that come over.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Used this in my living room where the tunes are.this light stick is about 4feet high and inch wide.powered by internal battery and charged by usb-c plug.really made for party box stage where it will sync with its light show.but also has internal mic that will pick up on any sounds.these pictures won't do it justice.its light show is cool!this is best used at house parties or night deck.be great for camping too.has 8hr battery life.gonna put it in my window for halloween.the app gives you control over colors and speed.its cool!

Can JBL PartyLight Stick automatically identifies and syncs to any movie, too?

Thanks for your question. No, the JBL PartyLight Stick does not automatically identify or sync to movies. It is designed to react based on sounds, not with visual content like movies. While it may react to audio from a movie’s soundtrack, it doesn’t have the capability to analyze video or automatically detect scene changes, dialogue, or other cinematic elements to create synchronized light shows.

Thanks for your question. Our JBL Partylight Stick does not have a speaker and isn’t capable of playing music. Its function is a light show that you control with the JBL PartyBox app, or you can sync its lights when connected to a PartyBox speaker with the Auracast feature.
