Yes, I'd recommend this product.
It’s very rugged and tough. Perfect for a young child. The stand serves as an outer shell. My only gripe is the screen protector is just not fluch fitting and things can get under it.

Bought a new IPad Air, opted for the Otter Box case, I truly enjoy this case .The outer clip in case has a built in holder that allows you to lay the iPad down or stand it up in it while keeping your iPad safe in the secure casing.these are the examples of how I use it especially when in my recliner, or when in travel/safe storage.hope this helps you.

We actually have returned this case because of it's size and inability to easily remove the iPad from the case to use in a smaller position. It's clearly great protection, but hinders functionality. Also, the plastic screen cover is not nearly as slippery as a good screen protector. If you want great protection from dropping or other damager this case is for you. If you want a lighter more functional and easy to use case, then maybe try something different.
