Yes, I'd recommend this product.
I had a Speck cover on a previous iPad for ten years. It looks like the dickens now, but it held up. I was happy to see the company still in business. It's easier to hold the 'Pad with the cover on. I'd only dock the cover for being heavy, but that's the trade-off for the protection.

For the most part it works as needed but it seems like the company just didn’t pay attention to details in the design. The multiple notches on the bottom are pretty useless since the angle the iPad sits in doesn’t change dramatically. On that note, the bottom part is split into two plates which makes it very hard to put it up at an angle on the couch or other uneven surfaces. The part where the iPad fits into is also mounted crooked. There’s a loop that fits a stylus but it’s in an awkward location that makes it not very accessible from either the angled position or folded over position. I probably would’ve returned it but I threw away the original box and you need it for returns.

I can't say enough about this case. It has so many multi facets to it. You can fold it so you can watch your movies and TV horizontally. Has a flap that protects and open for your camera. You can fold it back vertically and snap it in place. Can also close it and snap it secure.The surface of the case holds well to my hands. I have small hands.

Yes, I'd recommend this product.
Really nice case but the soft light colored grey material on the inside can get dirty and kind of hard to clean. Other than that, you can put the case in many different positions. Don’t have a secure place for an pencil/pen but it leaves an open space next to the tablet where the pen should be able to magnetically attach.

open and closing doesn't lock/unlock Ipad?

When laying the cover over your iPad, it will lock the screen. Though when uncovering your iPad, you will need to unlock the screen by hand. -Lauren
