Poor customer experience

After purchasing on the Verizon site, realized that the iPhone 16 was nearly the same price. I decided to inquire about a refund/exchange at the Verizon location that I picked up the phone. Turned into a major hassle. Paying for the phone in full and upfront seems to be an unusual transaction and caused confusion and new charges that resulted in my having to call an 800 number to rectify. Pathetic customer experience from start to finish.

Never received the phone. It was sent back to the sender due to no one available to sign for it.

iPhone 15, iPhone 15 Plus, iPhone 15 Pro, and iPhone 15 Pro Max are splash, water, and dust resistant and were tested under controlled laboratory conditions with a rating of IP68 under IEC standard 60529 (maximum depth of 6 meters up to 30 minutes). Splash, water, and dust resistance are not permanent conditions. Resistance might decrease as a result of normal wear. Do not attempt to charge a wet iPhone; refer to the user guide for cleaning and drying instructions. Liquid damage not covered under warranty.
The display has rounded corners. When measured as a standard rectangle, the screen is 6.12 inches (iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15) or 6.69 inches (iPhone 15 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Plus) diagonally. Actual viewable area is less.
Battery life varies by use and configuration; see apple.com/batteries for more information.
USB 3 cable with 10Gb/s speed required for up to 20x faster transfers on iPhone 15 Pro models.
Wi-Fi 6E available in countries and regions where supported.

The phone is an upgrade over the old SE, but the documentation explaining how to take advantage of the myriad of new features is totally inadequate. This includes all info provided by Apple and Verizon, printed, online, and on phone. Also the hyped longer battery life is disappointing.

Under staffed, person helping me was also helping 2 other customers. Took muck longer to upgrade new phone than necessary.

I urge you to purchase the screen and lens guards. Also, an outer case with easy grip in picking up and holding the phone will help it from slipping out of your hands.

Didn't order a prepaid. Upgraded the phone and the process was absurd. Every year we grow closer to leaving Verizon. Why does the cell phone industry to have to be a best of the worst model of care and service?
