    What are Verizon Service and Support Text/SMS Messages?

    These are messages related to Verizon service and support for mobile and/or 5G/4G LTE Home Internet services. The frequency of messages will vary based on your Verizon service and support needs.

    If you are changing your wireless voice service to Verizon, you will receive order status information from the short code, 899010, until your number is activated on the Verizon Network. Once you activate on our network you will receive our standard wireless service and support messages, from a different short code, and will be able to manage your notification preferences through our preference center.

    If you are a 5G/4G LTE Home Internet customer, you will receive service and support related text messages to your non-Verizon Wireless mobile number while you are a customer.

    How do I sign up for Verizon Service and Support Text/SMS Messages?

    During a transaction, you may be asked for consent to receive service and support related messages.

    Is it free?

    Although there is no charge from Verizon for Service and Support messages, message and data rates may apply depending on your wireless carrier plan.

    What if I don't want to receive any additional messages from the short code 899010?

    If you wish to stop receiving any Verizon Service and Support messages to your non Verizon Wireless mobile number, simply text "Stop" to the short code 899010. It may take up to 10 business days for your preference change to take effect.

    Comandos

    Stop: At any time you can text "Stop" to the short code 899010. This will prevent you from receiving any future Verizon Service and Support messages to your non-Verizon Wireless mobile number. After doing so you will receive a confirmation message that you have successfully opted out.

    Help: At any time you can text "Help" to the short code 899010. Texting Help will return the following message: For more information on Services & Support related messages, or for assistance contact us at m.vzw.com/ContactVZ
