Share Name ID is a free Verizon feature for eligible wireless customers that allows you to customize the name that others will see on their incoming call screen when you call them. This custom name is visible to and shared with Verizon customers with caller name ID enabled on their service, so long as your number is not stored in their contacts.
Share Name ID is automatically added to all lines on your account and unless you customize your name or choose to display only your mobile number, the account holder's billing name will be set as your Share Name ID and visible on your outbound calls.
The Share Name ID caller identification information may not display when calling another carrier's customers.
