Identity Secure provides a Password & Identity Manager that lets you securely store your information. This feature protects both passwords and personal data.

Password & Identity Manager protects your information and allows you to:

• Generate, manage and monitor passwords.
• Safeguard information like usernames, passwords and URLs.
• Supports the autofill feature on certain devices/browsers for website username and password entries.

In Personal data, use the password protected vault to save your financial and personal information including:

• Credit credit card numbers, cardholder’s name, security codes and expiration dates.
• Bank account numbers and routing information.
• Driver’s license number, country, state and date of expiration.
• Medical insurance number and provider.
• Passport number, date of issue, date of expiration, and country.
• Social Security number.

Yes, Password & Identity Manager supports importing and exporting data from/to other popular password managers.

Here's how we protect your information:

• Your passwords are encrypted and stored in a vault, which can only be unlocked using your Keyphrase.
• You must establish a Keyphrase to access your secure information within the Password & Identity Manager.
  • Visit Identity Secure - Create a Keyphrase for detailed steps to create a Keyphrase.
• If you forget your Keyphrase, you can create a new one by using the 24-digit Recovery Key that you received when you created the Keyphrase. Each time you create a new Keyphrase, you’ll receive a new Recover Key. Make sure to save this Recover Key.
• We don’t store your Keyphrase on our data servers and don’t have access to your information.

Data broker list removal is a service that helps you regain control over your personal information online and reduce your digital footprint. Data brokers collect and sell your data to third parties, often for marketing purposes. Unauthorized individuals can also get their hands on your data from these databases.

Here’s how Data Broker List Removal works:

• You provide the personal information you want to remove through the form in the Verizon Protect app.
• The service searches for your information on data broker sites and, if found, automatically requests the removal of your information on your behalf.
• This process is repeated on a monthly basis as data brokers constantly refresh their lists with new information.
• This process helps minimize the spread of your personal data and can reduce unwanted marketing solicitations.

Here are some examples of personal data you can enter. The more information you provide, the more information we can search and request be removed:

• First name
• Middle name
• Last name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Date of birth
• Street address
• StateCity
• ZIP code

Social Media Monitoring included with Identity Secure helps protect your online presence by:

• Monitoring your social media accounts for signs of hacking, impersonation or other unusual behavior.
• Alerting you if your accounts are compromised or if sensitive information is exposed.
• Helping you maintain control over your online identity.

Good to know: If we detect any such activity, we notify you immediately, allowing you to secure and review your accounts before further damage occurs.

Locked Folder is an Identity Secure feature available in the Verizon Protect app. If you subscribe to Verizon Cloud, you can also access your Locked Folder from the Verizon Cloud app.

You can encrypt personal data in Locked Folder with a 6-digit PIN and biometric authentication for your:

• Passport
• Driver’s license
• Birth certificate
• Bank cards
• Scanned documents
• Photos

If you cancel Identity Secure and have a subscription to Verizon Cloud, you’ll be able to access your Locked Folder files via the Verizon Cloud mobile app.

If you don’t have a Cloud subscription and cancel Identity Secure, you’ll be able to recover your information for 30 days. Once the 30-day period ends, your information is deleted permanently.

The Security News function provides real-time updates on security breaches and data leaks affecting companies, services or apps you use. By staying informed, you can take immediate steps to change your passwords or monitor accounts before your information is misused by cybercriminals.

You can add companies you’re interested in to get the latest news about security breaches.

Here’s how to access and add companies:

1. Open the Verizon Protect app.
2. Tap on Password & Identity Manager.
3. Scroll down to Security News.
4. Tap Add company.
5. You can choose from an available list of companies.

No, Security News is not tied to your personal data being part of a breach.

• The Security News function sends you updates about companies you follow.
• Receiving a breach alert about a certain company doesn’t mean you have been a victim of that data breach.
