Learn about the Verizon Home app, for use with your 5G Home, LTE Home or Fios Home Internet. Find out how to get the app. Learn to use the app to manage and troubleshoot your home internet service and equipment.
The Verizon Home app lets you:
- View the status of the Verizon network equipment (e.g., router, extender, receiver, etc.).
- Manage your Wi-Fi network - primary, guest and IoT
- View/change Wi-Fi Network name
- View/change Wi-Fi Network password
- Enable/disable Wi-Fi networks
- Share Wi-Fi credentials
- Enable/disable SON
- Manage the Verizon home internet router:
- Restart the router to help with connectivity issues.
- Save/restore router settings.
- Create a backup of current network settings or enable automatic backups to restore from.
- Manage the LED brightness/timing.
- Run a speed test.
- View your connected devices on the Wi-Fi network:
- Add devices through Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS)
- Implement parental controls:
- Group devices and apply parental control rules (e.g, pause internet access, set times when internet access is allowed, etc.)
- Update your home internet account profile and settings:
- Account username
- Account password
- Greeting name
- Primary email
- Mobile number
- Biometrics
- Security Question
- Account PIN

Note: Verizon Home will be available for download for select router models in phased rollouts, beginning 8/21/24.
Fios Home Internet customers, 5G Home and LTE Home customers can download the Verizon Home app at no charge from Google Play or Apple's App Store.
You must have eligible equipment to use the Verizon Home app. You can use the Verizon Home app with current Fios Home Internet, 5G Home or LTE Home router and extender equipment.
No. The Verizon Home app isn’t required for your home internet service, You can manage your home internet services:
- In the My Verizon app or My Verizon website.
- Directly on your router’s interface.
To sign in to the Verizon Home app, use the login credentials you use to sign into the My Verizon app or My Verizon website:
- If you have Fios Home Internet, use your Fios account’s My Verizon login.
- If you have a 5G Home Internet or LTE Home Internet, use your mobile account’s My Verizon login.

To set up a device group:
- Open the Verizon Home app.
- On the Home screen under Device groups, tap plus (+) to add a device group.
- Enter details for the device group by entering a group name. You can customize the group name by uploading a photo.
- Tap Next and add devices to the group.
- Tap Done.
You can now schedule or edit times to pause your internet service for additional control.
To check your router’s speed:*
- Open the Verizon Home app.
- On the Home Screen under Quick actions, tap Speed test.
- Tap Run speed test to view your Download and Upload speeds
Good to know: Tap History to view previous speed tests to check that your internet is running at its highest quality.
*Verizon speed tests are the only ones we recommend for our customers. Advertised speeds are from your home router to the Verizon network. We don't guarantee or advertise device-level speeds.
To share your Wi-Fi password:
- Open the Verizon Home app.
- On the Home Screen under Quick actions, tap Share Wi-Fi.
- Under the Primary tab, tap Share Wi-Fi. Or share by having another device scan the QR code to join the network.
To restart your router:
- Open the Verizon Home app.
- On the Home Screen under Quick actions, tap Restart router.
Here's how to find device troubleshooting videos:
- Open the Verizon Home app.
- On the Home Screen tap the Discover tab.
- Under Video tips, swipe to view and choose a specific troubleshooting video. Or tap All tips to view all videos.

- Tap the More menu.
- Tap Sign Out.
- Sign into the account you would like to manage.
